oh, ok, fair enough. I find it amusing, however, that you have become angry. Am I not allowed a retort? Come on, it wouldn't be nearly as fun if I just rolled over. Maybe if you stopped attacking me I wouldn't point out your stupidity.

Notice how this started with me presuming that liquid_dreams would get flamed (and it is presumption, not assumption as I have yet to find a forum where someone wouldn't be flamed for the kind of thing he said) and then Blushing Heliophobe assuming that I was trying to anounce how non-conformist I am. Then, when I insult a band that she likes it, turns into hating me for my arrogance and second-guessing a reaction which was almost inevitable (rather unfortunatly proven by horrorgirl).

So in actuality, this was started by the arrogant assumptions in the first reply to my post.

As you should. And you are arrogant. You should wait to build yourself up a little bit before you act like an ass.

ok, I just read the whole argument. What a waste of my time and, obviously, yours. Please let it go and get along.

And to get on topic again:

As I type I listen to The Oppressed... and well... it's not my style...

Dropkick Murphys are fun though... :-P

The Germs

I'm pretty excited to go to this...and they're playing here in D.C. on my birthday, yay! I'm curious as to what they're going to be like...

From Spin:

"Germs to Tour with Actor West Out Front
November 17, 2005

In perhaps the most meta move in music history, actor Shane West, who is playing the late Germs frontman Darby Crash in an upcoming biopic, will be fronting the original Germs on tour. The Germs were a seminal part of the L.A. punk/hardcore scene before Crash's untimely death from a heroin overdose on December 7, 1980, at the age of 21. The Germs lineup includes Pat Smear (who went on to be the touring guitarist in Nirvana, and later became an original Foo Fighter), Lorna Doone on bass, and Don Bolles (now of Celebrity Skin) on drums. The revamped Germs have played one show so far, an October 29 punk stunner in L.A. featuring the Dead Kennedys, Marky Ramone, and Suicidal Tendencies. The Germs have three shows booked so far, including one on the 25th anniversary of Darby Crash's last show. More U.S. and international tour dates will be announced soon."

Okay, I'm coming in here as Official Old Fart (as of next month) to say:

*shuffles in comfy slippers*

Who are all these groups? Are they popular beat combos? Is this young people's music? They should get a haircut!

*shuffles away again, waving an early 80's copy of Rolling Stone and muttering incoherently*
