Yes, yes. I would very much like to eat you.
But first, I would like to know what exactly I am eating, if what I am about to eat would kindly fill out the questionaire.

Someone could probably explain better than me but HIM isn't gothic. It's a misconception that many people make because of the overall view that people label goths. If you would like to know more about gothic music look in the music section or in my introduction where Vivvian (I think) wrote about how gothic music was formed and what it is.

well, Iīve never said HIM, or Valo are gothic(check it)...I am far from knowing what is gothic music by experts....I read the Vyvianīs text and posted a comment....as I said I know a very little about literature and even much less about music...I hear what I like...
but if you really want to know what is the real "gothic music" hear some gregorian chants
HIM is melacholic, about love and death, uses sensitive poetics,...and when I see Ville(on a picture) it makes me wear black and dye my hair....
I always get that feeling, when reading dear Edgarīs poems, when looking at vaults and window panes of gothic cathedral, or at the moon shining through black clouds...
I really think it is not about listening to right music and wearing right clothes...take a monkey, wear it black and make it listen to(something from the Vyvianīs list)...but if it is, I am sorry, I donīt meet the expectations...
Thank you for your comment

Well, thank goodness. Its a relief to see someone using that as a reference to Alice in Wonderland. It happens to be one of my favorite books. Welcome!

Well, welcome friendly mushroom. I'm in an odd mood today. I don't usually call people mushrooms. But I do like eating fungi and your thread title prompted the thought. Anywhooooo...

Greetings and welcome to Gothic.net. Glad to see you spelled 'Allan' correct and I adore the films of Tim Burton, as cliche as it may be here, espically Edward Scissorhands. Great stuff and woah...I left for two days here and more newbs show up. I hardly ever miss someone arriving here...Wow...

Hi, I'm Pancakes of Doom, or just Pancakes. You won't see me on here as much as most of these people, but you'll still see me.
Anyhow, enough about me; welcome to Gothic.net. May your socks never get lost in the wash, and may your spleen always have a healthy color.

Welcome. Just, try to downplay the word goth in while you talk (e.g. goth bless you) until you're a fan of the music.

Thank you for your welcome...I appreciate it so much...feel like finding my lost family
Dancing in the Rain: I donīt like eating mushrooms...more left for you but I think I wouldnīt mind being one
on the Lewis Carrol quote: my life doesnīt make sense without a real mad tea-party...
Caught: my name comes from both robert frostīs and edmund spenserīs poems Fire and Ice....both wonderful...that could be a legitimate "or" question
Pancakes: my spleen is always pretty black and I am very proud of it
Vyvian: I donīt know which Burton is my favorite...there was a time when I was in love with Beetlejuice... then I liked Edward much, but when I saw Sleepy hollow I couldnīt sleep for nights....btw...I have found a record of Raven interpreted by Christopher Walken...it is awesome...

It's okay my sweet. I know I'm absolutely c*r*a*z*y... And I'm used to it as well. I'm going through withdrawal. I didn't get any e-mails from a friend of mine this weekend. I feel so unloved. *sniffles*

Oh, that's understandable. I used to have a friend who would be infuriated with me every time she called or emailed me and I didn't answer right away. It's almost too bad that I lost touch with her; then again, she was a drama queen...

We're glad to make your acquaintance and as you can see from the above, we are indeed all mad here. Or at least, not quite sane.
