The Rocky Horror (Humping) Picture Show

I've watched The Rocky Horror Picture show on DVD and listened to all the audience participation stuff, but after seeing it live at a horror convention, why does everyone in the shadow cast keep humping one another? Does that happen all the time?

Oh, and I met the guy who was Brad Majors in the movie, Barry Bostwick. He called us all assholes and said we were all going to hell (right along with him).

They were just humping each other?

My first time at Rocky Horror, I got pinned down, whipped, "claimed by" (read: strapped to) a cast member. Then I got humped. Then I had to eat whipped cream out of someone else's mouth. You got off easy.

Scarier yet, I wasn't the youngest person they let in the room.

Our cast eventually began enforcing an 18-and-older-to-play-the-virgin-games rule. You could attend if you were under 18, but had to be legal to participate in the games. I snuck around it - I was enough of a regular that I got to sub in for cast during the games when they were outnumbered. I guess the fact that I'd played as a virgin while underage robbed me of my innocence so thoroughly they figured there wasn't much risk anymore. :P

You'll appreciate this then. They played "spin the bottle" (for gas money) and eventually cheated enough to get two guys together for the PDA, one buck per second of making out. They collected over $200, and Mr. Bostwick put in $20 by himself.

Ha. It's always super hard to get two guys to make out at Rocky. Which was strange, because the girls would always get chosen first (girl and boy virgins are equally likely to go for the lady cast members), so the guys at the end of the line would always wind up with other guys. But they'd usually keep some pretty serious distance between them.
