Intro

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
I love reading, watching movies and animes, listening to music, walking, painting. I work full-time as an IT tech support analyst.

2. Where are you from?
Montreal, Québec Canada

3. Who is your favorite author?
Anne Rice, but I also love George R.R. Martin, R.A. Salvatore to name a few

4. What are your favorite films?
Fight Club, Watchmen, Back to the Future, Constantine, The Matrix

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
I think weddings are retarded

6. At your funeral?
Not like I’m going to be there… but surely some sad stuff from Sonata Arctica

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
Mmm good question, but since I want to die so much I guess it’ll only happen when I’m beginning to really enjoy life and be happy… cause that’s the type of bitch Life is..

8. What kind of casket would you want?
Black

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Pyjamas?

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Not much, I’ve pretty much always wanted to be an adult i thought most people my age were immature.

11. What's your favorite band?
Cradle of filth, but I also love Children of Bodom, Sonata Arctica, Amon Amarth, Kalmah, to name a few

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
In Québec we have a weird and unique education system so it would be hard to explain but I did 3 years at a technical school after High School (our high school is only 5 years) to complete a “Diploma in Computer Science Technique with a specialisation in network administration” (you asked….)

13. Why did you join?
Cause I’m bored, recently single, terribly lonely, and I’ve always wanted to know more about Goth culture but pretty much everybody in my life thought it to be retarded…now I have a shit ton of free time and I thought why not get into it since I’ve always wanted to?

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Female of course! :P

If there's anyone from Montreal here, i'd love to know what's going on right now on the Goth scene, like the cool places to go, shows, bars, ect.

Thanks for inviting me,

Ag

Here are some proper "goth" bands to check out, Sisters of Mercy, Sex Gang Children, Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Specimen, Christian Death, Alien Sex Fiend, Virgin Prunes.

Welcome.

First there’s 2 types of weddings, religious and civils. Concerning religious ones, since I don’t believe in God I think it’s retarded to “swear your eternal love” to something you don’t believe in… its like an insult to your love to your spouse. As for the civil weddings, I don’t see the point either, why do you need a piece of paper to know the other loves you and won’t leave…

I think wedding are insignificant, people give it so much importance and meaning when in most time people don’t even do the basic things to make the other person happy…

Love your bf/gf like there’s no tomorrow and take care of him/her and his needs and nobody will ever need a piece of paper to remind them that you love them.

And.. they cost an awful lot of money most of the time…

That’s about my opinion on weddings, excuse my bad English... its not my main language =P

"R.A. Salvatore" (While I'm quite a frequent Dungeons and Dragons player and I love Jarlaxle, Salvatore is one of the most boringly tedious authors I've ever read work by. To explain that, whenever I read something by him I feel like while he was writing those books he didn't enjoy it much and it probably seemed like tedious work. (Granted coming from me, that's obviously my opinion, i just feel like he writes so boringly. He describes things well, he has good character development... but it's all so boring. (I read the entire Icewind Dale Trilogy and the Dark Elf Trilogy.) Although for some odd reason I guess I have to give him credit for making me want to continue reading his work. Although I think part of it is me wondering how his writing progressed over the years.

I'm curious, do you like his stories centered around Drizzt or do you just like him in general as an author?

Hey i have to say you're kind of right on some points abour R.A. Salvatore.

I feel sometimes he forced himself into writing stuff for a wider audience... including kids... I got to admit he's really good at battle description. But there's definitely something missing in his books... i can't quite put my finger on it though.

Well actually, they miss what Geoge R.R. Martin has in his Song Of Fire and Ice: death, cruelty, sex, and some good vilains...It's all too happpy and fun type of endings usually... imo

I'm definitely in love with Drizzt though, he kicks some ass... oh god...
I bought some other books from R.A.Salvatore but i havent read them yet.

Drizzt may kick arse... but no one compares to Jarlaxle!!! ;]

For anyone who wants to read Salvatore and hasn't yet, Spoiler Alert: (Highlight to read)
(Also I'll agree about battle description, especially that last fight between Drizzt and Zaknafein (Well... last while Zaknafein is alive, not after he's resurrected, thought that's a good fight as well.)

I was upset after I read the third book in The Legend Of Drizzt series, the first two were pretty kickass, but it got...boring and tedious and I felt like grading the book, it wasn't very well written at all.

Drizzt as a character is still pretty kickass though.

3rd in the series, or 3rd he wrote?

I'm guessing you mean the former, "Sojourn"

I wanted to see Amon Amarth next Thursday as well, but I don't want to pay $30 to see the other bands playing. If my friend doesn't go, I'll give you money the next time I go back home if you'll buy me a shirt, Antoine!
