Waist cinchers

I have a corset or two but I was thinking of getting a waist cincher. I like the decorative ones that go over your clothes but ideally I'm looking for one that goes underneath and will cinch me up round the middle and bulge me out spectacularly at the top and at the bottom. I wear a lot of high waisted pencil skirts and 50s type dresses and such, and those things usually look best with an hourglass figure. I'm pretty hourglassy as it is but I'm looking for ultimate cinchage without looking freakish.

Any ideas?

If they would go under my clothes and not create odd bulges.

this is the effect I'm looking for.

It seems like she's wearing something underneath that to squeeze her in (I could be wrong), but the way the dress lays flat above her belt looks it.

I'd say she has some kind of cincher on, If you look carefully around her hips, you can see the line of whatever she's wearing underneath. To me it looks like the shape of the bottom of a corset or cincher.

I bought a corset from Gallery Serpentine a few years ago and I can vouch for the fact that they are really nicely made. I got this one:

It's comfy as anything - I can wear it for hours - but it really sucks it all in.

If you want something to wear invisibly under clothes just get a custom made corset without embellishments. Waist cinchers usually look awful and don't last anyway.

it is pretty.
I'm never sure when looking at corsets which type I like. Because ultimately I love the hourglass shape but being six feet tall I have somewhat of a larger body than most females, and my ribs are naturally wide instead of slim. If I get a corset that slims out my ribs as opposed to just my waist the hourglass effect will be ruined, won't it?

It would be annoying as hell to get on and off, though. I have bought several corsets and they all have front busk openings for that very reason; you'd have to unlace that lovely purple corset a heck of a lot to slip it on or off over your hips.

I saw those cincher's the other day.
I visited the store, got myself a nice corset.

I know the style of cincher you want, I'm trying to remember where I've seen them before.

As for your ruining the hourglass figure comment, no, it shouldn't. Depending on the corset and also how you lace it.

I reckon you should go for an underbust corset rather than a waist cincher. You can slim everything down but just lace it in further at the waist and you've got loads of control throughout with the longer corset styles and underbust corsets make your boobs look fabulous lol.

Can I just say, I agree with AsylumVoid: if you want your knockers to look awesome, put on a good underbust corset. If I wear the Gallery Serpentine corset I linked to above with a regular plunge bra, all of a sudden I have amazing boobs, even though the corset itself doesn't cover them as such.
