I believe it does make sense, though, in a very complex way. I'm sure there's more to it than the stuff I've mentioned but I believe most everything can be rationalized.

when you have had a terrible day and you're stressed, tired, hungry, cold, sick, overwhelmed, sore, completely miserable, and if one more thing goes wrong you are just going to burs into tears, then you feel warm, strong arms wrap around you and you feel like the happiest person in the world. No, sex has nothing to do with love, save by accident.

Love is the eventuality of the random practice of organisms throughout time to bond together and increase their chances of living comfortably. It is responsible for the inherited practice of keeping a lifelong partner and parenting children. Love is without point or purpose, but by existing, it adds a new element to sentient life.
Additionally, it is also a way to get people to post four pages without reading a single other person's responses.
