My roommate is being a bitch about the fact that Jake and I still have boxes to unpack. He had three boxes worth of stuff, all of which went in his room and all of which would not have been out of his last place on time if I hadn't given up some of my time to help him move even though I had my own stuff to worry about. Jake and I have unpacked the kitchen which we fully stocked (two sets of plates, about a dozen mugs, pots, pans, a full pantry, silverware, glasses, spices, cutlery, small appliances, tupperware, etc.) and the living room is almost exclusively our stuff (couch, table, floor lamps, decorations, dvds, chairs, and stuff for the Wii). Kevin is more than happy using our stuff but he keeps complaining about how much more we have to unpack (not that he has lifted a finger to help) and yeah I admit we have a lot of stuff but he knew this before we decided to live together and he was happy to learn that he wouldn't have to go out and get any of this stuff. To top things off Jake has only had one day off since we moved in so I am the one who has been doing just about everything (Angie hasn't been around much but at least when she is here she does offer to help and has told me that as long as we can get to everything then there really isn't a rush, and as of a week ago all of the boxes were stacked out of the way). At the rate I have been going I'm averaging 3-4 boxes a day, not exactly lightning fast but it is far from slow, especially since I am cleaning and organizing as I go and have been fixing/cleaning up after meals for the three of us.

Frankly I'd tell him to help you at least unpack even if he doesn't put the stuff away, or shut the hell up about it.

Solumina, can't you find a couple of friends to lend a hand unpack for a couple of hours? I've moved enough times in my life and then worked as a mover to know that if you try to do it by yourself you're setting yourself up for a world of stress to top off the rest of the stress moving brings.

I'd threaten your "friend" that if he desires a meal to be made he can... help out or get out.

The thing isn't that I need help unpacking (I could have used it with the kitchen though) I just need him to lay off since I am taking the time to make sure that things are organized so that the apartment isn't continually a mess. Last night I told him that if he complains one more time that anything I haven't already unpacked will be moved into my room and he wont be allowed to use any of it, that seemed to shut him up rather quickly.

Good. Perhaps he was kind enough to offer assistance afterward.

So do I, especially when they get offended when I call them on their being an asshole.

I also hate 3/4's of the customers who come in to the store.

One of my long nails broke into its bed...Wah. Now I'm thinking of whether or not to cut the rest to look even or just file them down and give the index a chance to catch up.

And my cramps are killing me too.

And yet ironically she doesn't seem to make any effort to put something within. (Her brain, not her birth canal. The latter has too much from the sound of her.) Either that or she wants a guy that likes empty space. Blank, empty space.

My rant: I am still hearing some people whine that they actually miss George W. Bush. Jiminy Cricket people, get a freakin' clue!

I hate how loving, compassionate, and intelligent Jake's family is until someone brings up politics. It would be so much easier to deal with their Republican zealotry if they were ignorant and abrasive about other things but I hate the fact that they all look at Jake and I like we are such adorable little idealistic children for not thinking that Obama is a moron who is fucking up our country and then they give facts to show how terrible of a job Obama is doing but most of the time I think they use sources that Fox News deems unreliable.

On a slightly related note: just because you are retired military does not mean that you still know what things are like in the military, especially if you have been retired since Clinton was in office. Also I hate when people speak as though they are talking for the entire military, like their opinion is shared by every member of ever branch.
