I like the books. The anime doesn't do it for me, though.

I'm just watching the show now. If the ending's any good then I'll probably buy the books.

Awesome. You watching Japanese or English dub?

English dub. I miss all the action when I'm reading subtitles.

I don't really like English dubs. They lack all of the menacing edge of Japanese in the really passionate scenes.

But I love Death Note. It's the only anime I've had the patience to watch all the way through.

I agree on the over acting thing, but yeah death note is a good anime. I'm thinking about getting the manga from my friend and reading them or reading them online, he told me the ending is pretty weird.

Good stuff. I remember wanting to bust some heads when Blue Gender finished. That ending was retarded.

Death Note I never really got into, but hey if it's your kind of anime, go ahead and watch it. No biggy.

I got bored around episode four or five. I don't know what turned me off about the anime--the same thing I can say for Battle Royale. I never understood all the hype about it after I'd finished watching it. It was like Saw, but with small Japanese children tearing each other apart instead of some deranged cancer patient.

Boy, do I have some titles for you!

- Silent Mobius: Sci-fi anime with a comparable atmosphere to Blade Runner. It's about a police force, the Attacked Mystification Police, who battle these demons called Lucifer Hawks hailing from a realm known as Nemesis.

- Elfen Lied: My personal favorite. It follows the story of a creature known as a Diclonius (a human with horns) named Lucy, who falls into the hands of a young man, Kohta, and his cousin, Yuka. All hell ensues, however, as Lucy is "Mitochondrial Eve."

- Tsukuyomi Moonphase (Or Moonphase, simply): This is a comedy/supernatural anime that follows the antics of a young vampire named Hazuki, who "enslaves" a young photographer named Kouhei, a powerful shinto sorcerer. ( His powers are dormant in the first half of the series, however).

- Karin: A vampire comedy about a young vampiress named Karin, who, instead of consuming blood, has outlandishly bad nosebleeds. There's more to the series, though, but you'll have to watch it to find out.

-Onegai Teacher (Please Teacher): As dirty as the name sounds, no, this is not Hentai. It's a sweet story about a teacher named Mizuho, who is actually a half-alien, marrying a student named Kei because he knows her secret. It was an impromptu event, and Mizuho was facing losing her job at the school, so Kei lied and said he was her husband to keep her secret a secret, and to save her job.

- Mahoromatic: This series follows the life of an android named Mahoro, who is a retired military weapon. She stepped down from military service to live her life as... a maid. It's a pretty perverted anime, but it's full of laughs. And it's got a bittersweet ending.

- Shingetsutan Tsukihime (Lunar Legend Tsukihime): This story follows a young vampire woman named Arcueid Brunestud, who is murdered by a young teenager named Shiki Tono. Shiki possesses the "eyes of death" and has the ability to see lines, which, if he chooses to trace them with his finger or an object, can result into the utter destruction of the person/object. It's yet another bittersweet romance story with a, in my opinion, gut-twisting ending.

-Fate/Stay Night: This particular anime is about a war known as "The War of the Holy Grail", which sorcerers and sorceresses alike have been fighting for centuries; their goal, to acquire the Holy Grail and have all their wishes granted. These Sorcerers and Sorceresses, however, do not fight amongst themselves. They use spirits of heroes and villains, such as Medusa and Cúchulainn. In this war, Shirō Emiya, accidentally summons the most powerful spirit available to wield--a strange British woman named Saber--and together, they go to war, eventually falling in love. This anime, too, has a sad ending.

That's just a few off the top of my head, however. I'd be glad to PM you more titles in any case you're interested to watch more anime. Providing it tickles your fancy.

No problem at all! Like I said, if you need any other titles, just zip me a PM and I'll promptly type up a list of anime for you to check out at your leisure.

Cowboy Bebop

Samurai Champloo

Trigun

Spirited Away

These would be much better. I'm nearly certain.
