Fashion Photography Thread

This thread is for posting photos and links to goth-related fashion photography, which includes, but is not limited to, the work of photographers, designers, models, and makeup artists.

One of my favorites fashion photographers is the highly talented Nadya Lev (http://www.nadyalev.com). She demonstrates great composition, lighting, and color coordination that beautifully emphsizes both the model and the attire on display. I (rather predictably) particularly enjoy the images that show historically-influenced styles.

Enjoy, and do share your favorites as well!

I personally have a fondness for http://www.winterwolfstudios.com/

but... That second photo looks rather skeletal don't you think?

Well said, my lady. I agree that the model in question would be much improved with the addition of a few pounds.

I just feel women shouldn't be so thin someone could pick their teeth with em... her body is so tiny I'd be scared to bring her over a storm grate.

I enjoy Viona's fashion photography very much, especially her shots of Wave Gotik Treffen attendees.

Ahhh, Viona is awesome. And yeah, her WGT pictures are fucking amazing. I used to trawl through them frequently for fashion inspiration.

That was a marvelous feast for the eyes, and of course I have not yet finished browsing through it all! Thank you for sharing.

And, as suggested by HumanePain, by all means, I would enjoy seeing some of the resident board talent.

Wow these pictures are fantastic. I wish I was able to do portraits well.
I especially enjoyed:
http://www.nadyalev.com/x.php?photo=Shoe.jpg
Because of the way it was framed.
http://www.viona-art.com/fotomap/got...ts/aarde-2.jpg
This one also played with the framing which I think is awesome.

Sorry I'm focusing more on the photography angle...

This photographer has a multitude of photos from Wave Gotik Treffen over the years, and also some other goth-themed fashion shoots elsewhere on his website:

http://www.voluptas.it/html/Events.htm

The site is in German, but images transcend languages, I daresay.

Thank you HV. Thank you so much for making me want to have nice things that I can't afford!

Seriously though, those photos are beautiful, there are so many beautiful outfits on there... I'm really jealous I don't have a nice dress like that.

Hah! Consider yourself in good company then, Miss Pernova. At present I have neither the time nor the finances to devote to such a delightful excursion. Alas, academia calls.

http://www.voluptas.it//html/WGT%200.../IMG_7061.html

This particular image, however, rather caused me to ponder if the photographer was seeking to convey some none-too-subtle social commentary via the manner in which he placed the lone, rather homely solitary girl in the front and center of the image field while the massed ring of gossiping stylish ladies in all their rich finery seem to ignore her in the background.

Most interesting, indeed.

Absolutely. I wish we had event't like this where I live. I think there's a Gothic cruise in Tampa or Miami, but thats likely a few years away for me.

I love Nadya Lev, but I don't like steampunk anymore. Still, I love what she does related to that scene.

Picture of me, by me, edited by me.

I don't know if that counts as fashion though.

Annie Bertram is amazing:

I also like the photos of Alyz (alternative model):

http://www.visualyz.com/model/

Not all, but many are fantastic and original, though she does look rather skinny in some.

Alas, I had to dirty my hands with a bit of digging to find this thread, but for good reason. The talented and rather fetching Miss Revel exhibits some stunning photography on her website that is replete with jewel-like colors and elegant styles. Most impressive.

TL;DR: Slack jawed, uber-Photoshopped chickadee with glasses who has set off my lurker-fu.
This caused me to return to this, which in turn made me think of this: http://www.*********************.com/UnseelieAllure

I should just let you lot know that's not safe for work or perhaps life, given it's got pictures that show that I could probably play her ribs like a xylophone, poor written English and a twatshot.

Then again, I might be wrong because at least the owner actually SMILES in her pics...Damn, I hope I'm wrong.

Much as I am flattered by your attempt to interpret my post, Miss Lolly, in truth I had visited the site in question a while ago and had meant to post it to the board. Alas, classes and the requisite schoolwork that accompanies it have kept me from frequenting this forum as often as I'd like and I had forgotten about posting the link until now.

I see that perhaps I should not have bothered. Carry on.

No, no, it's just that she looked familiar but I think it's just a case of mistaken identity. Or damn fine top shelf trolling on her part.

And no need to worry about explaining your absence, it's just life.

Miss Lolly, I can easily see how one might confuse the two bespectacled females in question. No harm done, then.

Ms. M, *bows* it is always a pleasure to spread beauty and art for the enjoyment of others. I do hope that you shall pursue your aspirations in the mastery of the lens.
