Instead of posting Porn ads why not make a Gnet ad you put here and other web sites. If your going to keep the porn ads please put a warnning on them, I went to blue blood site thinking it was another community and insted I saw naked lesbians! Also to perfect this site and also have some pride in saying you own it stick around and talk to new or old members. There are some newbies who are flat out stupid and post the most stupidist thing! It would be even better if you sold some Gnet merch and let the members do some artwork for it. You have to work on the fiction section it pretty much dead.

I was pointing out, in a way so obvious that only one as obtuse as you could miss it, that you were unfairly painting all the users here with the very broad brush of generalization ... and that included painting yourself (as one of those users) as being an idiot.

There's a big difference between something being official site content, and something being posted in the forums.

I'm talking about this site trying to attract some REAL writers to contribute, not the word vomit in the literature section.

well this forum is full of criticts anyways, so why not make that a new activity for the old members? to criticize "newbies" work in the literature section. that way both can be involved and it could help the community.

Not a bad idea in theory. Though from what I've seen, responses in the lit. section tend to be pretty polarizing, it's usually either senseless gushing or "die in a fire" type responses.

Nah, it's easier just to ban the dissenters and cry about it.

The horror ads I saw were not even remotely offensive- but then I am here so sporadically that I may have missed the ones admin is thinking of. The S&M ads here are borderline offensive for the sole reason of there being minors on this site. The ads are not even relevant to the intent of G.Net.

Given as how admin only comes on when they are being questioned as top their practices and not when there are actual problems, of course this place goes to hell and is a pimple on the owner's weepy pussy. I'd not even mention having anything to do with a place I created that showed the signs of my obvious neglect.

Moderation is good in moderation- nothing wrong with occasionally trimming the hedges. Save you time bushhogging later.

As for Duckman, he is considered a member, at least by most of the members. Does he stir the shit pot? Of course, but he is also one of the more knowledgeable contributors to the music forum. I don't expect you to endure abuse, but at least he keeps things interesting.

consider this a BIG second or third or whatever to the suggestion about updating the fiction content. There are several talented writers here. Or, at least there used to be, and from what I can tell they lurk occasionally.

The merchandising thing is also an excellent idea. A cafepress or zazzle account is easy to set up, and a contest for graphics submission could be arranged. Maybe an annual chapbook of our crappy poetry?

We would be willing to participate more in a reasonably intelligent fashion if there were something to do.

Thank you for not just saying to hell with it and closing the site, but if you dislike dealing with it so much, perhaps it is time to find a buyer?
