Have a problem.
The other day I liked this band but they weren't goth.
In fact, they looked quite sunny.
Should I kill myself now or wait til after I get my custom designed, red velvet linned coffin? I've been planning on doing it for weeks but those guys at the shop just can't make the fucking deadline. God all this stress from daily life just isn't enough for me, how do they expect me to wait to die when they keep making me want to die????!!

Kill yourself now. Let your family sort out the details. Don't forget to leave a note stating in no uncertain terms that IT IS SUICIDE. Families hate that and you want to show them good! That way they can't be all "maybe it was murder".

Hedge your bets.
Insert a poisonous suppository so you may slowly waste away and draw out as much angst and indignity as possible. This will do wonders for your complexion and also give you time to get the coffin.
If at any point the band buys into the goth trend - dramatically pull back from the maw of death to say you liked them before they were cool/they're trying too hard.
Alternately - flaunt the nongoth nature of the band conspicuously to show how above it all/nonconformist you are (while rigidly adhering to other subcultural pretensions).

Okay so I just tried hanging myself but then I realized I didn't have the right vinyl playing at the time of planned death...Omg it was so embarrassing I realized I was listening to UNKNOWN PLEASURES instead of THE IDIOT!
If I was ever gonna be as goth as we assume Ian Curtis is, I would have gotten it right. Now I'm trying to think of an extremely goth way to kill myself but the only other person I know of is Rozz and he died of heroin overdose AND I'M OUT OF FUCKING SMACK! WHAT THE FUCK AM I GONNA DO???

What's the big deal about how a person dresses or does their hair? It seems odd to bicker about such and insignificant topic. If you like the band because of their music then the lyrics probably appeal to you on a personal level. Their are many traits people are born with, but clothes is not one of them. It isn't that odd of an idea to relate to another person just because....

Fuck you guys, I burned myself with my specially ordered clove cigerettes while drinking red wine because I'M hardcore and not a poser like the rest of you. My wiggly eye liner frames my eyes beautifully and merely hints at the tortured soul that resides in me. I would kill myself right now if I could find a way to do it so that it totally expressed my inner artist in a way that would shape generations of goths to come.
