Do the right thing and your gonna get your ass beat. Whatever I'm sick of looking out for people then getting screwed. I end up telling this chick (who I thought was a good person) that her boyfriend was cheating on her (because I thought It was the right thing to do) [guess not] and now I have some @^#$^@@#$^%^ who wants to beat my ass because the smut decided to point the finger at me. Fuck this helping out the good of society garbage.

Lessons leaned:

Good people apparently deserve to be decieved
Violence is the answer
People who like you will screw you over
Sephiroth is right
People are severely self righteous, hypocritical, and cynnical
And:
People are islands, if we weren't we'd drown in the seas of everyone else's emotions

If other people have a problem because you prefer to do the right thing, that's their problem, not yours. If you stop doing the right thing because of pressure from others, then you end up just as bad as they are. Don't let that happen.
