I tried to avoid shooting games in my list.Silent hill have some kind of shooting but the ammo is pretty scarce so you usually use pipes,axes and stuff.I got scared without monsters around me..

Is the first 3d myst fully explorable.
Also Uru: ages beyond myst and the expansion Uru: the path of the shell are the continuation of myst series..They had also an online version of Uru but they closed the servers..I suggest you play the 3d ones.They contain nice enviroments that will be memorable..
Unfortunetly this games don't sell very good and are niche ones so when people hear about video games they know only about the mass shooting ones (call of duty, counterstrike etc) that basically are same crap..
I played fallout 3 have some nice parts like child rising in the intro and some nice psychological dreams in the last part but still is too much shooting..If it was more psychological and abstract discovery and less shooting i would have put it on the list..
