Strange/Humorous Things Found in Workbooks

I was going though my high school prep book, and I couldn't help but notice that the sentences are ridiculous....
For Instance: I want a copy of the picture of the man that is hanging on the wall

Anyone find something similar?

All the people used for examples in my maths textbook have really whack names, like Bronwyn, Nathaniel and Horatio.

I suppose their not really that funny, but when you're dying of boredom and supposed to be drawing linear graphs, they're about the best entertainment you can get.

My programming book has bizarre quotes in the chapter headings. E.g.:
"They'll never be happy together. He's not her type.
OVERHEARD AT A COCKTAIL PARTY",
"He's a smooth operator.
LINE FROM A SONG BY SADE",
and about four from Alice Through the Looking-Glass.

There are also a lot of little editorialising moments, but I can't recall where any of them were off the top of my head and don't terribly want to search for them.

huh...i thought there would be more. I came across a problem about Frankenstein, Dracula, and The Mummy having guns I think.....and something in my grammatical exercises along the lines of "He took my ball. That makes me angry."
