I don't think he respects it, as much as he respects you. There is no reason to respect your belief, and I never will, but I may grow to respect you when you show some rational thought.

I am not trying to win your respect; I thought I made my intention of starting the thread clear. This isn't a debate of whether God exists or not. Don't talk down to me. Let me reiterate: I am not trying to win your respect.

There was never a debate about God's existence here. If there was, then I'd have seen contradictory evidence to what I said. I made a statement that no one could refute. No debate. God is unlikely to exist, as well as magical fairies, Santa Claus, and the Easter Bunny.

I'm glad we got that out of the way.

I will say it again; refrain from being nasty to me. I don't appreciate it. Otherwise, I respect your absence of a belief in God.

That's fine. I respect your adamant refusal of the facts in place of rational, logical, and sound mind. Continue chillin' in the looney bin.

Please don't be nasty to me. There is no reason for you to be condescending; if anything, that makes me less likely to listen to you. Had you actually entertained my questions and listened to me, I might have considered your point. You just lost one more soul to what you would call the false security that is religion. Good day.

See what I mean? Everyone wants an appeal to their emotions and then they will listen. It's pretty sad that you need that just to hear the truth. It's not worth convincing you anyway. You just need someone to stick it in you to change your mind, and that's not really a strong resolve is it?

Not only does he want to be right, he just wants to be an asshole about it as well.

In evidence of character, I find Jillian to be a better athiest to listen to.

God or no God, I guess some people are just assholes.

I think Jillian would agree with me when I say this:

It doesn't matter if I am an asshole. If I am right I am right.

Plus, I am a more knowledgeable atheist than Jillian. Ask Jillian about Goth culture, but if you want to know anything about religion, theism, etc. Then come to me. But, I think it's all bullshit anyway, and all nonsensical myths. But I do know the crap pretty well.

Yea, that's a lot different actually. Phone calls are way more personal than the intranets...

Electronic signatures of voices = more personal than text?

I heard you are black. Is this true? If so, can I have your autograph?

*sigh* I don't even have to try to prove my point. You do it so damn well.

Good day, Spright.

[insert arbitrary claim that you somehow proved my point]

Who the fuck is spright?

Seriously, brat. If you had ever had a point in your entire life, it would roll off of you, because it's probably duller than a marble.

No, it's not 'just the internet', it's an elaborate conversation. Why would my opinion be any different if this discussion was in person than through the net?
The only difference I see is that I might agree with the hottest girl if I'm very cynic that day just so that I have more of a chance with her. :P
*High Fives Right Back*

That's why it annoys me too to have someone say to me "it's just the internet." I agree, why would my opinion change on the net than it would in a face-to-face conversation. It annoys me.

Oh and to Onetwothree you have no right to say to someone whether or not they're crazy because they believe in something you happen to think is not real.

It may. You may stare deep into my sultry native American eyes, and find that love is aflame...burning...and yearning for the passion that boils beneath us, we break into throes of love, and then I donkey punch you, and ruin it all.

The disgusting part was the donkey punch. I think that's a grotesque thing to do to a woman.
