so many moons ago i saw you
in the ghost of your salvation
she was a pale reprieve
but the nights were beautifully cold

so many times our childhood
brought us anesthetic comfort
so many beasts ate our pleasure
our poise it seems ever growing

on leather wings they drowned me
in a sea of sanguine passion
though she was always present
no fires or death could divide us

standing on the edge of salvation
your soul could easily vanish
torn between two worlds of smoke
and through it all you spared me

you felt as if you were nothing
you sought a dust covered shelf
but faceless masses should not concern

the distance sometimes suffocates me
playing imaginary games

though many times i've said
i've smashed through all those mirror walls
and now i find you there

Oh, reminds me a bit of 'Flowers' by you-know-who.
The nameless narrative was beautifully toyed with, as if you're playing with fire and yet perfectly hold the flames in your torch until all is lit out.
Hopefully, I've critiqued poetically enough so everyone can understand what I'm saying XD
