goddamn, they all suck and imagining each of them makes me break out in a sweat. i suppose if i could be hit in the head and knocked unconscious, i'd go the route of being beaten to death. or, if i could be knocked out - tossed into the ocean to drown. i don't think i'd want to be conscious for any of them.

First I would pat myself on the back. This would allow me to both:

a) be proud of myself for intializing a brand new form of tuberculosis (which, if I escaped alive, I would begin a political war to have the name turned back into "consumption" because that's so much more evocative).

b) hack up the reserves, who would bumble around in circles, shoot one another, camp out on the carpet with no notice whatsoever of the creeping hoards, and generally make a nuisiance of themselves.

Before I fled screaming from the room, I would wonder how a complete stranger plucked a scene from my unfinished novel, which has never circulated beyond my machine - this means that said stranger has plucked said scene from my brain, which is just creepy.
