Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Death `Leprosy`
This is the title song off that classic album, when I first heard this song in 1989, I could not believe how heavy it was at the time. My other favourite track on this album is `Pull the Plug`.

I'm a Pumpkin Man
Trauma's remix of the music to the old video game Cauldron II. First heard it on SLAY Radio, which plays that sort of thing, and just had to get the mp3. There's a lot of good stuff out for free if you know where to look.
Effing brilliant.

Orbital - the Doctor Who theme tune.
This version is still miles better than the recent Murray Gold arrangement. Listen to it. Love it.

Right you are, Phil, the Orbital version of the Doctor Who theme rules. The original is pretty spankin' too, though, for being made at the time it was, by the BBC Radiophonic Workshop.

This song is off my favourite King Diamond album `Them` which is a concept album.

Alright! Someone else who knows of the fantastic band Black Ice! Have you ever seen them live? I mean, since you live in San Francisco, where they are (were) based?
Listening to:
Amusement Parks on Fire - Local Boy Makes God
Gauzy and ethereal shoegazer rock. This track, the last on the self-titled album, is basically just a blurry wash of slow-burning guitar atmospherics.

Love your sig, rubedo. Blonde Redhead is one of my favorite bands, especially the earlier stuff. Although "Misery is a Butterfly" is a lovely album, too.
Listening to a really good hardcore band from Vancouver:
