Pumpkin Carving
Finished the 2009 Pumpkin Project.
I always try to tackle a challenging carving project each year. This year I decided to take the latest photo of my dog and turn it into a carving pattern.
Here's the original picture:
And here's the finished pumpkin:
I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. Anyone else want to post their pumpkin carving project pictures?

Thank you. And a nice, toothy grin your fellow has! (-:
Here's another pic of mine:

We didn't carve this year. I feel like a traitor. Later today or tonight I might get around to posting some from past years.

That's cute as hell, Ben. So's the little critter himself.
I'm off to my brother's along with the rest of the family in a little while to do some carving with my nieces and nephews, maybe I'll get them doing animals. I guess a cat could be pretty simple. Should be fun - they're not allowed to go Trick or Treating-ing, but they do dress up and I'm going to take some candy over and get them to play games.

The only pumpkin I carved this year I wore on my head for short spans during the day. Even with a towel stuffed inside it, that thing was uncomfortable!

I painted a small pumpkin at work. I put a rooster on it. Roosters are my penis jokes.

Here's last year's project, since it's a little scarier:

Thank you, every year it is getting harder to find decent designs and we now have a reputation for our carving skills that from the beginning of October the neighbours start to harrass us to make sure we do them.

Well, I've run into similar concerns. Take my example ... the easiest way to ensure originality it to make your own carving patterns. I ran a photo of something I wanted to carve through a photo editing program and cartoonized it, then simplified the output to make my own pattern.
