So the surgery went well; I have four holes in my mid-section, a staple or two over each one, and no gall bladder.

*insert great joy and happy dances here*

I'm a little sore and feel a little bruised, but I have a feeling that after that passes [and if I endeavor to actually take care of myself instead of consuming a lot of unhealthy junk], that I'm going to feel a -lot- better! =D

I have to eat easy-to-digest foods for about a month: No dairy, no red meat, no fried foods. Oddly enough, though, they said sodas and just about any liquids are okay, but things like tomato soup probably wouldn't be.

Heh. Who would've thunk it? XD

*BTW, I'm well aware that "thunk" isn't a word; it's a Southern expression, so if you have issues with it, just put it in the same vein as "ain't".

    hey there.

I had the same operation done and am also gall -bladder- less....about 4 and a half years ago, i was in my final year of school. i know how ill it can make you, and trust me you will be feeling lots better soon enough, if you look after yourself and not eat the wrong things. and if you really feel ill during the first few days, peel a carrot and an apple and grate it finely and put it in the fridge for about 20 min. thats the most easily digestble food around...good luck. its no fun, but you will be better soon
