Elderscrolls 4: Oblivion
No doubt if you've played this you've been addicted ever since and your friends/co-workers are wondering where the hell you are. I want to know what you enjoy about the game and what would be nice to have on the next Elderscrolls game--Because you know it will be a long time before we see another. I personally like too much of the game to list it all. The only thing in my opinion that could have improved the game was either multiplayer or online support(For a World of Warcraft experience.)

It is indeed an amazing game. The world is vastly filled with so many characters, quests, there is just so much to do, but YES I wish it was online. Oh how i would love that. I even said the same about Elder Scrolls 3 for the pc. It should have been online as well. <3 Morriwind.

It wouldnt really work as well as a online game as it would loose its realism and freedom to do wateva you want i mean people would get a little pissed off if you decided to kill the quest dudes (you could respawn them but then that really makes it un elder scrolls)

Nah, there would be different npc according to each character as in other mmorpgs.

It's a beautiful game (PC version), but the fighting engine leaves much to be desired. In some of the larger battles you find its hard to tell when yer man is hitting enemies and when they are hitting him.

I'd love to get it, but the laptop won't support it. I have Morrowind, and I'm very fond of it- the non-linear play system is one of my favourite aspects, since the other Fantasy RPGs I play (Neverwinter Nights, Dungeon Siege, Diablo) were lacking in freedom. Arcanum was a very good game from way back in 2000 with a similar non-linear play ability, though not to such a degree as Morrowind and Oblivion.
In any future Elder Scrolls game, I'd like to see greater geographical freedom, as Morrowind limited you to the island of Vvardenfell for the most part, and you can't travel outside Cyrodiil in Oblivion. Full exploration of the map would allow even more freedom to the players. Perhaps a resurrection of some of the early Elder Scrolls' functions- horse and carriage instead of just the horse, etc.

So... you're not into character development, plot, exploration, freedom, etc?
You can shoot things in Oblivion. Only you're doing it with crossbows, short bows, long bows. There are also ranged precision spells, darts and throwing knives.

Shooting involves firearms, rather then using tension propelled objects. Im just not into anything thats set in 1901 or before. haha

It's really a very good game... but ah well, some people are never going to be RPG people.
We shall leave you to guns and other guns.

I love this game!
But I agree with the fact that you never know wether you're really hitting your enemy, or just waving your blade all around.
I haven't bought the Oblivion one, I only have the Morrowinds. Which makes me wonder, has anyone tried to do the pilgrimage, and when you leave an offering in a stone that gives you levitation, you get PERMANENT levitation?
It's really pretty terrible, you cannot run, you need to be very precise to enter a door, and if you're fighting a monster and walk backwards, you'll be walking up instead of back. Does anyone by any chance know how to cancel levitation, or am I screwed?

I hope it's not an irreversible bug.
If anyone figures out what to do, I'll Mexican kiss you (it's like a french kiss, but spicy instead of cheesy )

So, I just bought the Oblivion game, and the stupid thing won't work!
It only gives me one of those Microsoft Error shitty messages.
I hate Microsoft.

Eh, I'm not too impressed with this game. I had it for my XBOX 360. Anyways, I was addicted to it at first. I played for over 100 hours (sleeping only three or four times) and completed all the quests. Then, I started over with a new character. And that's when it turned to blah. The first time through, it rocks. But the game has no replay value whatsoever.
So I traded it in.

Lol, I disagree. I have already completed all the quests which I don't even like doing, I mean I didn't even buy the game for the quests, for instance I've been `Deer hunting` lately on Oblivion lol.. I ride my horse and find deer, ride beside them and shoot them lol.. It's a less known art in oblivion I must say. Heh..

Yeah, the quests got quite repetitive, and the number of bugs even in the patched were waaay to many.
I know I had to re-do at least 10 of the quests due to 'bugs'. After spending hours upon hours getting back to where I was before a bug happened I lost interest before completing the main quest.

Don't even get me started on the main quest. The final battle was, IMO, one of the easiest things of the game!
