The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Anyone else here play/have this game? I love it (and it's prequil, Morrowind). I've never gotten to play Daggerfall or Arena, though. If you play Oblivion, desribe your character? What race and class is your character? What are your favorites guilds? etc.
I play as a Dark Elf (Dunmer) Nightcaster (custom, well-balanced class). I was unoriginal and named him Rozz and gave him dark red hair, racoon eye makeup and dark lips. Hah. He's also really pale for a Dunmer. Sort of a light blue. I think I like the Mages Guild the most. I like using quick Destruction spells in combination with Blade attacks. The Theives Guild is also great and a lot better in Oblivion than it was in Morrowind.
Thats enough about me, though. Hah.

I had it. Then I sold it. I saw no reason to keep it, as I had sold my XBOX 360.

I'm kinda bland.
I hate spells. I have this tendency to go with something like a dark elf, get mighty good at hand to hand fighting, and sneak + bow.
I find it amusing to sneak around sniping people and then if it pisses em off, I pummel the shit out of them for giving me sauce.
Dark Brotherhood for the mother fucking win.

I like a combination of fighter and magician. I rely heavilly on a good longsword and a shield to parry the incoming blows and to temporarily daze the opponent so I can get three or four hits on him, use Restoration magic to heal, and.. uh.. can't remember which one it is, the magic school that grants you a magic shield and stuff. Pretty unbeatable after that.
Never, ever used a bow in a TES game...

I've recently started to play this again, only because of the new stronghold pack though. My character is level 40, master in all of my skills except 3. Those skills are blade(100), sneak(100), security(83), marksman(78), destruction(78), light armour(100) and something else that i've suddenly forgot.
I forgot my attributes. My guy is like the perfect assassin. I wear the crimson blade light armour, it looks like the dark brotherhood armour except more bad ass with magic and shit.I usually use umbra or those 2 kick ass swords you get in Shivering Isles. KontanKarite, DARK NIGHT-MOTHER FUCKING BROTHER HOOD FOR ALL TIME!

I had an assassin Wood Elf, who was at one point a vampire, but I got tired of the crap that went with the disease. That one's on my bf's 360. Now I have my own, and I have a Breton Mage. She's really hard to level up, so I kind of got tired of her.

Did anyone ever notice that a goth girl worked on it? She's in the documentary that comes with the Deluxe version. She's wearing a Bauhaus shirt in her "inside the vault" interview on the beth blog.

My computer can't tolerate Oblivion, but I used to play Morrowind until they rebooted my computer and I haven't installed my games because they'd steal too much time out of my life.
I got tired very quickly of all my characters and started anew every month or so.
But my favorite characters are generally Dunmers, skillful with long blades, and I always train them in Destruction and in that thing where you summon a beast or demon o help you, because it's so fucking annoying that some enemies can't be hit with normal blades.
I also remember I once made an orc and made him a monster tank with heavy armor and axes but I also made him slightly proficient in magic so that I could level up quickly (you buy the spell that reduces an enemy's specific stat level by a certain amount of points, and then you go to a spellmaker and modify that spell to affect yourself, to reduce the skill you want to increase for about three seconds, and to reduce it by as many points as your magic can allow, then you go to a trainer and cast the spell on yourself and tell him to train you on that skill, which because of the spell is currently set at 0 or another low level so it only costs you one credit or so to increase by one level) and I used the cheat I just described to make myself one baddass sin of nature, and started killing everyone and everything I saw.
My goal was to be the only motherfucker on Vvardenfell.

Morag Tong back in Morrowind were better.
Tendency towards Argonians/ Khajiit/ Dunmer with a high alchemy level, good persuasion, and good destruction. All else is negotiable, as I can poison any weapon and don't need restoration magic when I have some incredibly powerful potions instead.

I own Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind Game of the Year edition and Oblivion. I absolutely love The Elder Scrolls games. I tend to play female Breton Spellswords. Cast your spells and see me shrug them off harhar!

I have an unhealthy obsession with Oblivion. I play it on my PS3 when I can.
I am a wood elf thief. I have completed the thieves and mages guild, have a few more missions on the fighter's guild. I have completed the Shivering Isles Expansion and have started the Deadric quests.
Haven't bothered with the main quest though; haven't wanted the annoyance of the oblivion gates while exploring.
Now, wouldn't it be neat-o if Bethesda developed an MMO using the Oblivion engine? Wouldn't be easy, but it would be awesome. I can dream...

I've played Morrowind more then Oblivion. I tend to play the Argonians/ Khajiit usually more magic based with the long sword and light armor. I love the thiefs guild and mage's guild's they help you build up real fast. I'm trying to do the Vampire cults but I haven't gotten there yet.
My friend introduced these games to me, it' was like play Fable time 911, only didn't have the cool quick keys. There was so much to explore and read about, the in game story's goes really really deep, and there was something new every time I played. I'm trying to save up to get the PC version of Oblivion. So I can catch up with what my friends are at.

Sorry for coming so late to this thread, as I just recently got a 360, and Oblivion for Christmas.
I have a (at the moment) level 14, almost 15, Nord Warrior-Thief. She's obnoxiously pale and kind of looks like a red-haired Enya. I put her in a Dwarven Cuirass, which I procured from the lovely land of Oblivion, Orcish Gauntlets, Blades Greaves, Helm, and Boots. I also have a Dwarven Helm (Cave Diver's Helm, with constant effect water breathing) that I use for more severe fights when I'm in need of a better armor rating. She's almost to the rank of Gray Fox, too, in the Thieve's Guild--I haven't even begun the Fighter's Guild Quests, and most certainly am not ready to perform the tasks the Mages Guild have for me, since my character's a sword-toting buffoon. And I've only done the first part of the main quest, when you have to take back Kvatch. Which, may I add, was hard as hell for my little noob warrior. So many Daedra... I never want to see that many Fire Atronachs, Scamps, Clannfears, Daedroths, and Dremoras again.

I agree! I haven't joined them yet, but I plan on it. I just need to find someone easy to murder in the game, then all I need to do is wait until I'm contacted by a member.

I can't get caught though--Fighter's Guild rules. I'll probably just murder one of those twits living in that backwater town, Hackdirt, south of Chorrol (if you already didn't know). No one but the Ogres and soil will miss them.
