Why cut?
Bullets are much, much more effective at that job.
I mean, it does take some skill, just to cut yourself with a bullet... But once you get it down man...
And plus, it's always fun to explain to the police at three in the morning, "Well. I was depressed, so I was going to half shoot myself, to give myself pain. Little did I know a bottle of Mountain Dew doesn't make that effective of a silencer".

Yeah, what's up with that? Where are they? Do they simply not care?
Though, on the other hand, I guess it doesn't matter. If we were all hanging out somewhere together, there wouldn't be an admin or a mod that could ban us and make it so.

I really do not see the big deal. I think his statement to be facetious. He is so happy, he feels awful and must cut himself. Maybe it is his sense of humor, but I think he should'nt be banned.
Also, it looks like a man can't have self confidence in this society. We expect people to not have self-confidence since it looks like arrogance. He might not be a nice, people person, but he is an individual nonetheless.
