You know alot of people list BDSM but in real BDSM it's much more different than described. Seems like people are talking about what BDSM has been assumed to be, these dungeon dumbs dressed in pvc or leather holding a whip and saying something like "Are you looking to get punished?"

That's not bdsm any more than strippers are burlesque dancers.

First off you'd NEVER hit someone with a full length whip, it's only for aesthetic purposes ONLY, there's simply not enough control in a whip that you'd end up harming beyond a pleasurable purpose. Use a flogger, paddle or riding crop, there's more control and less likely to do real harm.

Second a real Domme would NEVER say "are you looking to get punished" it's completely counter productive. The Domme WANTS to be obeyed, she wants control that is her fetish, just the same as the sub WANTS to be controlled. The only reason you'd ever punish a sub is for disobediance. A punishment is exactly that you're being punished it's something NOT pleasurable.

To be fair BDSM refers to a range of fetishes/quirks and your post was about only part of that range. Also a lot of people do lump S&M into the same group (even by people who are very involved in BDSM culture) and what you described is a very inaccurate depiction of those people.
