Thinking Caps On... Dance Night Themes
We've had two darksider dance nights at a local club.
Danse Macabre and Garden of Mystery
Sticking with a semi-gothy, nighttime, dark feel, can you name some theme ideas for this year's event?
We were thinking of "Dark Carnival" or "Carnivale", but the idea got snatched.
Other ideas?
Ready...
Go!

How about an asian theme?
Or of Frank Sinatra's times. Everyone know Sinatra is the gothiest of the goths

Great ideas... keep them coming.
We probably require costumes... just so you know.

How about a Poison Garden theme?
You go as a poisonous flower or are adorned with them somewhere?
You know, Foxglove, Wolfsbane, Nightshade?
Or you could have a night where everyone goes as their favorite Tim Burton anti-hero.

How about a Suicidal Tendencies party theme?
People came in with 'bleeding' wrists or nooses around their necks?

Would they be playing Suicidal Tendencies, Wolfie ?
What about a monster movie theme ?
Or superheroes, or any other comic book characters ?

The Masquerade idea sounds good. How about a burlesque theme? I read an article about how burlesque clubs are becoming more fashionable than ever, they seem quite exciting from what I found out.

I wanted this year's prom to be about the 20's, but we didn't, so how about if you do it?
You know, the times of Howard Hughes (I think those were the 20's) with men elegantly dressed, with white gloves, and combed hair.
I love the music of those times also. Not gothic of course, but I love jazz music, and I suppose those times were the predescesor of jazz

I look forward to sharing the winning idea with you all.
If you think of any others, please reply.
Hint: the idea needs to be less costume and more walls, ceilings and corners in its... um... execution.
Hey, there's an idea.

I know it's been done a million times but, I like the idea of coming dressed as your favorite mortal sin... mega plus is that a bunch of ladies get creative and dress as LUST...hehe.. lots of skin!

The Dungeon?
That could be so much fun, in so many different ways.
Chains hanging from the Ceiling, Displays of Torture Devices, Pools of Blood, Whips and Leather Strips..
Have the Staff dress as Slaves and Masters.
Maybe consider a " Fetish Contest" ?
The possibilities are endless.
Plus it doesn't get much darker than a " Dungeon".
There are also limitless amounts of Dark Music to spin, that would fit the theme perfectly.
I like it.

I volunteer to be a girl strapped to chains wearing a black, leather bikini... yeah, lovin' the dungeon!

Damn my fingers... I meant WON'T require costumes. Folks will dress up, maybe in costumes, maybe tied to the theme, but it's not required.
Sorry to mislead you.
