I've never really liked Gays-And by "Gay" I'm including Lesbians,Transsexuals,Bi..etc,to me they're all equally perverted. And I suppose you could trace it back to my religious parents who raised me in this environment(But seeing as how I'm adopted, technically these are not my "real" parents). They never forced me to follow any set rules when it came to church, and after a while it was never an issue.

My dislike for Gays was also fueled by my days in Middle and High School, where I was harassed and tormented on a daily basis. I was forced to spend every school day in this living Hell basically being a "fa gott" because I didn't have a girlfriend and my best(And only) friend at the time just happened to be male. Not to mention after school was out for the day I had to indore the harassment from other people in my neighborhood.;constantly calling me "Queer" for no reason. I was even labeled Gay at a church-sponsored camp I attended years ago(Just because I had no friends there except someone I knew from school).

So yeah,I pretty much started hating them from an early age. Of course the whole:"He must be Gay if he doesn't have a girlfriend" thing followed me into my first place after I moved out. Because I have Social Anxiety(Among other things) and don't make friends easily,I didn't have any female-relations..Hell,I couldn't even get a girl to look at me.But I'm not saying I *never* had any girlfriends-don't get me wrong.

Then one bright summer day,I met someone in a parking lot of a store as I was walking back to my car. Long story short:Things happened. When I finally was able escape Four days later,my dislike for anything even resembling Homosexuality became stronger then it's ever been.

And it doesn't end there. My epilogue to the story is: During the time I spent in my last place,I was literally held hostage for over a week by another stranger I'd never met.Things happened. So tell me,do you think I have a justified reason to hate Gays with a passion? That's what I thought.

This bright and sunny day, blah blah blah. From the looks of it, things aren't too sunny where you're thinking from. That story sounds like a crock full of shit, and it just supports the fact that, like Xnguela said, you think like a child. I'm quite offended that someone supposedly belonging to such a diversified subculture can't tolerate gay people. You're a pox of humanity.

That explains a lot, Reject_Bunnies. I apologize on behalf of anyone who feels who is willing to apologize.
And Xnguela, although you are right, I suppose you know how impressive can the human mind be. For example I myself am scared to death of going to Orlando, Florida becuse of an incident in Universal Studios when I was a kid.

It's not a rule that the Gothic subculture is diversified, it's a fact. AND, the reason many people become Goth, in a sense, is because of that diversity. They feel comfortable being themselves because the group as a whole is alternative. Get it straight.

So is Punk,Hippies,and Emo...
When did you start writing the rules for the Goth handbook anyway?

And I'd like to add that each subculture has it's philosophies. Hippies are about peace, punk is wild, crazy, and unpredictable, emo isn't a subculture, and gothism is dark and mature. Do your research. Get out more.

Guess what? I will. Your story sounded like something my 10 year-old sister would make up; like telling your friends you're rich, or you have magical powers. Give me a break. If you actually provided details without being so vague, and even attempted to sound a bit sincere about it, your story might have been believable. But it's not.

So this is your entire basis for your opinions? Because of the above written, you call all homosexuals perverted?

I don't think that this should be enough for you to stereotype an entire group of people. "Things happen" to, for example, women. They don't go and hate all men after something like that, just that one man.

This is my opinion. You are entitled to your opinion and I'm not trying to take that away from you.

Xnguela wanted an explaination,I complied and provided one(Again, you wern't there).
As for "Things happening":I know more then one woman who basically became a Lesbian after what "One Man" did to her.

Let's see here:
1.)It stands to reason that Hippies would be the most "accepting" of all subcultures, but tye-dye and the Grateful Dead are just too darn happy.

2.)I'm sure there's a ton of Emo fans that would disagree with that statement, just as you can't define what "Goth" is,you can't "Emo" either. It's not set in stone.

3.)Since when is Goth *always* mature? Why do you think HotTopic stays in business?

Let's be more lenient (is that the word?) to reject_bunnies. It's human to be affected by one sole experience

"lenient"(Not to be harsh or strict, merciful)Yes,it's a word. I have no idea what happened to you in Orlando, but on some level you might have an inkling of why I feel the way I do.

You have reason to hate people who force themselves on others. Unfortunately for you, your experiences have generalized negativity towards an entire group of people who have done little to you.

As far as the harassment on part of your peers labelling you as being gay, I went through that myself. Including the social anxiety, lack of friends, lack of a girlfriend (I only ever had one that went to that school, so others would suggest I was lying), etc. No, what happened to you is not excusable. I'm sure a lot of us are now going to be a lot more tolerant of your views now that you've brought up your past experience, but I'm sure that most if not all of us hope that you'll allow us the same consideration of what we're bringing to light before you.

It's fine if you have problems with homosexuality, but it's not a great idea to wander into the realm of absolutes, proclaiming it unnatural, etc. Hopefully you'll learn to cope with this feelings some day, because regardless of how you feel now, this isn't just something you should keep unaddressed.

It is common for psychological conditioning to generalize to a larger group. Being attacked by one breed of dog will sometimes generalize to all breeds, or just breeds that size, or just that breed in particular, or even just specifically that dog.

Psychologically, it makes sense that he carries this with him, and while that does not make it okay, it makes it more understandable.

Emo is purely music genre which has spawned a subculture of late, but it's a trendy subculture as opposed to a substantive one. It's still a subculture though. I support that.

Nothing is that simple. And makin git all that simple actually complicates things.

Generalization are for those who cannot hack breaking down their own thoughts. It's simpler to blanket everytihng rather than take every situation or person as it comes.
Some people DO end up hating men, though. In fact, I know a number of women who "converted" to homosexuality because in generalized to all men. It's not like they suddenly chose "Hey, I'm not attracted to men now." It was just that that's how it came to pass. When I was beaten up weekly in Connecticut, my anger generalized to the entire state. That faded eventually, but when people mention the state, I still get a sense of apprehension. Or when someone mentions a name that happens to be shared with someone who broke my heart, or some shit like that.

It's not so simple.

How would you now if I was "there" or not... this is a forum, a lot of people are reading and you wouldn't know. Not trying to be a smart ass but don't say stuff unless you're sure it's fact.

Women might decide to turn lesbian after "things happen" but that doesn't mean they hate men. In fact, I'd bet my right arm that even if they change their sexual preference due to a traumatic experience, they still have at least a handfull of men, or males, that they hold very dear to them so this doesn't even prove whatever point you were trying to make.

Oh, and don't call Metatron a geek. Is the fact that he has a myspace account and takes advantage of the blog feature all you need to classify him as such? You really need to stop making snap judgements of people based on one piece of information. Especially negative snap judgements. Metatron is well liked and far from being a geek. You're coming off really bad here. Just stop.

And Xnguela, you're wrong about me using:"Gay" as an insult, then again nobody will believe that either.
