Needled. I remember reading somewhere that piercing guns can't be fully sterilized and can pass on plenty of nasty things.

Who does gun piercings anymore anyways? Isn't that just a bit outdated AND unsanitary????
The only time I was gunned was when I was 6 and my mom took me to get my ears done. 16 years later they're a 4g and still going. Not far to go though. I'm stopping at 00

I used to have a lip piercing, it was good for maybe the first few months. Then I just wore too much makeup. I currently have ankh earrings. No tattoos, I attempted once but it really went wrong. o.O

I learned my lesson from gun piercings. We were in a mall and decided what the hell. Now I can technically say that I've had plastic surgery heh.
As for piercings, I have my nose, naval, and ears (7) done.
For tattoos I have a lame tribal 'impulse' tattoo on my right arm that I got when I was 19 and I have a biomech (half) half sleeve on my left arm. I put a little more thought into that one. I also have a self-made tattoo on my right ankle from when I was 16. That one doesn't really count though.
I don't plan on getting more piercings, but I do plan on getting more tattoos. I just wish they wern't so expensive >.<

Right now, i have:
two helix piercings,
five in my bottom lobes
tongue ring -all stretched to 10 gauge.
I want my navel re-done. It was torn out in the mosh-pit at my favourite local band's last show. I think i also want to have my nipples and nape re-done...Once that's over i'll think of something else.
I have problems with comitment, so tattoo's arent happening soon.
Oh and my ferret's helping me stretch my lower lobes back to 5 mil.

That is really cool. What does it feel like to get your nipples pierced? And how did they heal?

I had mine pierced before I played soccer or football overmuch, and it didn't feel like anything much. It may sound odd, but I didn't feel the piercing itself. I think that I am not as sensitive as some, though. I felt it when I went in for a tackle and missed, though, and they ha dto go

Having my nipples pierced actually hurt less then several of my other piercings. they also healed faster. Basically it stung for a few seconds, and felt warm for a few hours. That is all, the next day my nipples were pretty much back to normal. I had mine pierced vertically and w/ bars not cbrs. The people I know who have had trouble w/ their nipples were all pierced w/ cbrs.

I've heard that for women it doesn't hurt much, yeah. I think our nipples are slightly less sensitive than a man's, because we have to get ours sucked and bitten by chitlins.
But yeah, I'd love to get it done, I'm just wondering how it heals, so thanks.

Ha. I laughed at that...then remembered I am fifteen.
Oh, drown me in my teenage angst.
Shelldoo, amazing back piece. [[The wings and twist.]]
I really have always wanted to do wings, but I don't want to do typical everyone-has-those-type. Yours is unique, especially with the twist.
[[As a side affect, I have to print like, every amazing wing tatt I see for inspiration...I'm a bit obsessed.]]

Ophelia-
The healing for my nipple rings was less difficult than my other piercings. Mainly, they are less exposed to outside influences than ears, nose, etc... and are easier to keep clean. You just have another reason to wear clean shirts and bras *only*.
I had the usual piercing healing drama of pus and soreness for about a week, then after a month I was good to go. BUT everyone is different- all of my piercings healed faster and better than average. Just ask yourself if you have a nipple-ring lifestyle...
... whatever that may mean for you, LOL!!
I was, in the end, too balls-to-the-wall (rather tits-to-the-bricks, as it were), too full contact in sports for them or my belly ring to have been a good idea.

I think I could def. get them. I don't play sports. I run, but that's zero contact, and I could lay off for a week or two while they heal. Hmmmm.

Yeah, You should be fine. But just take your general healing ability into account, talk to your piercer, and ultimately, let your boobies be your guide.
And don't be stupid. I was stupid. Stupid hurts

Spiderstosilk, thanks, I never do flash, and always try to have personal, unique pieces.
Here, I finally have a finished pic. I am so very happy w/ how it came out, and I think the greywash really sets it off.

I had a realy bad experience the first time i had my nipples done, in that i was drunk and i decided to do them myself. Got halfway through the right one, pierced squeue and passed out. Woke up and finished the job. Not good. I let them close and had them done properly...I didnt have a big problem with pain unless i wore a corset or got knocked in the mosh pit. But my ex who had hisdone at about the same time as i did nearly passed out whenever anyone came near them. I guess you've gotta judge for yourself.
Maggot, i didnt notice a big difference from a 14, which is what i had when it was done, to the 10. The fit was just a bit more snug. 2.5mm isnt generally very big, in my opinion.
I just can't comit to ink though.

I hate it when people just jump into body mods of any form. its ok if you have your ears pierced, but repetetive impulse work ends up looking SO crap! It takes me sooo long to pick something. I research what i want, get the facts then do it...
ack! I stress for nothing, ha?

You definitely don't stress over nothing. Body mods are a huge deal, and anyone who doesn't think long and hard over it is foolish.

A guy came into Burning Monkey yesterday (the place where I'm learning piercing) for a tongue piercing... then we explained that he wouldn't be able to drink or smoke for at least a week after it was done, and he immediately decided not to get it done, because he was going out boozing that night. So he took about a minute to decide to get a rook piercing instead. I'd never be that careless. o_o
