Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

well.........
I am listening to a burned CD with a bunch of shit on it.... Right now the song is "Cake and Sodomy" by Marilyn Manson. I think the next song is "How Soon Is Now" by the Smiths.... Oh what the fuck, I'll name all the songs on this disc......
Dead Souls-Joy Division
Dusk and Her Embrace-Cradle of Filth
Sin-Nine Inch Nails
Cake and Sodomy-Marilyn Manson
How Soon Is Now-the Simths
The Figurehead-the Cure
Weisses Fleish (i think the spelling is off)- Rammstein
Zero Signal-Fear Factory
A Therapy For Pain-Fear Factory
Bury Me Deep-Sisters of Mercy
The Sky is Blushing-Jennifer Hope
Vision In Black-Advent Sleep
Scream and Die-Pulcher Femina
Wish-Nine Inch Nails
Fade Away and Radiate-Blondie
Lament-the Cure
I like this disc. I'll probably wear it out......

"Circle" by Corpus Delecti. I love the tribal-sounding, Killing Jokesque drumwork on this song.

Horror Epics is slightly more heavy but very good. I have a tattoo of their skull emblem on my shoulder blade that I got back in 1989, so I like them a whole lot. When I used to go to goth clubs it was really funny seeing people react to it, because you can't like hardcore and goth at the same time. ;-)

HORRORGIRL: I'm a Black Goth & I still listen to them. Loved the Exploited's music ever since the late 1980s when I was still a Metalhead. After listening to "Live In D.C." & "Let's Start A War" for the very 1st time in 1989, I immediately fell in love with Wattie & Company's music. According to an ex-squatmate of mine from Connecticut who went to see the Exploited live & got to meet them afterwards, he thought Wattie Buchan was a big-time arrogant, loudmouthed dickhead! Shit, anyone in the Punk scene who's ever met this dude--& I've met quite of bit of them--will say the same thing. One of my friends is from Scotland & he used to be an Exploited associate/roadie & even he will attest to Wattie Buchan's rude, dickbrained behaviour. As for other folks believing that you can't like Hardcore Punk & Darkwave at the same time, TO HELL WITH THEM. If I listened to just Gothic or just Industrial all the time, it would be boring as hell. Just like with any other genre of music.

One of my ex-roommates in Oakland was friends with a chick that let Wattie stay at her apartment in San Diego. According to the ex-roommate Wattie is indeed supposed to be an arsehole. He apparently destroyed the girl's apartment. Still love his music, but wouldn't want to meet him. In fact it's better not to meet musicians whose music you like, because you will always end up dissappointed in the end. Nice to see another Exploited fan here! :-)

Fields of the Nephilim `Dawnrazor` (live)
This is the live version of this track, which is on the brilliant `Earth Inferno` album, if you love the Neph and havent heard their live album, I reccomend you check it out, because it rules.

Arvi Lind - Hyviä uutisia
The name of the song would be like "Good News".
A legendary news reporter performs this song. Or he reads the last newscast ever. And it has somekind of beat behind it. And it has a female singer in the chorus.
The song is about when everything is fine, no family violence cases didn't come out in this year and the last war has just ended and the ozone layer seems to recover etc.
Beautiful song..
