It was actually an assignment for my Intro to Art class a couple years ago. I love hands myself, they're my favorite to draw!

Drawing body parts is great when you nail them down. (which ofcourse is difficult as hell and takes some practice) Nice work Corporal!! And I love the pictures... you seem to have a bit of fun with photos.

Especially when dealing with the opposite sex. But you feel a greater sense of accomplishment when you can do it.

You said it... I have a hell of a time with male torsos.. and the legs always look thick and odd, but lately I just make the boy pose for me, works well.

Yeah, males are easy a cake for me. I have a permanent reference. But when it comes to females, whew, it takes a few tries. I guess the trick is knowing the knacks of the female and male bodies. Such as a slender stomach as apposed to rough abs. Or detailed muscular arms as apposed to mostly undefined arms. Well... you get the point.

Lovely, Castle. thanks.
My stuff...
I'm not much of an artist. I don't call myself an artist.
But I usually can make little nuggets of goodness when I feel in the mood.
This painting was done for an art class assignment... I had to make a piece that evoked human emotion.
I chose my first trip to disney world.

Castle, this is mos DEF one of my favorites of yours.
Besides the ones you did with all of the erasing that looked like those books.
You should post THOSE.

I tried to take a semi-kinda-almost-decent picture of the one you're talking about, but it came out pretty crappily. I tried to edit it a bit to make it look at least a teeeeny bit better, but nope. Oh well. I just gotta try harder at life.

how have i missed this thread before? this is great! i use photoshop primarily, but have recently downloaded the free version of art rage. I wanted to pass the link to all you creative people because i am finding it mimicking paint, charcoal, etc in ways that photoshop and similar programs do not. i like playing in here when i'm stressed out too as swirling virtual paint around kind of relaxes me.

I was at a live show of a friend of mine at a bookstore, her music is really inspirational and I ended up sketching this:

Guess I forgot to post this here since I finally finished it.
Title: The Vision
Literally a vision I had once. Translated onto a digital canvas.
