My phone came back to life! I just left it open overnight, took the battery out and opened all the side flaps on it. But I put it out of it's misery and bought a new one. I'll remember your advice next time something like that happens Ben. Thanks heaps for your posts. My new one can play music like an i-pod and it's a nice burgundy colour so I'm happy. Darkangel29, thanks for your concern. Btw, I really liked your beatles impression. You're a cutie!

65322, I'm happy about the phone. It's always nice to upgrade.
I gotta go ... hustling off to my first day of work!
YEAH!
WHEW!

One last thing ... for those having a rough day:
Having a rough day?
Just in case you've had a rough day, here's a stress management technique recommended in all the latest psychological texts. The funny thing is that it really works.
1. Picture yourself near a stream.
2. Birds are softly chirping in the cool mountain air.
3. No one but you knows your secret place.
4. You are in total seclusion from the hectic place called "the world,".
5. The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall fills the air with a cascade of serenity.
6. The water is crystal clear.
7. You can easily make out the face of the person you're holding underwater.
8. See, you're smiling already.

Perhaps his name will be memorialized in a kind of emeritus mod status; I am disappointed that I did not get to know him better. At any rate, his message seemed to be one of thankfulness to the forum and those who knew him best, and I can only hope the issues referred to resolve themselves as well as they might, and to his satisfaction.

Well, I will miss him...
I do hope he gets whatever he needs to get worked-out, worked-out.
And if he needs to leave for awhile to do that, then he should to leave.
Again, good luck, e_e.

I'm not exactly sure what's going on.... But there's a lot of lightning and on one side of my house it's bright day, the other is a misty night... Power is sure to go out...

Xng, I know they used that line in "Babylon 5" and other movies, books and shows. I know I've read where it originally came from, but it escapes me at the moment. Can you tell me what that is from?

Tenet, after one day I know this is the best company I have ever worked for. Let me give you an example:
I started today. My benefits start today; health, dental, eyes, life insurance, etc. ... If I sign up now to further my education (I'm eyeing the University of Phoenix online) the company will pay 100 percent of my costs of tuition and books ... UP FRONT. As long as it's related to a position in the company somewhere, it's free, up to $8000.00 per year. The only reason I have to shell out money is if I go over the $8000.00 limit or fail to maintain a C or better! If I pull a grade below a C, I have to reimburse the company.
And here's the kicker ... the thing that made me feel really good. There were 10 people in my training class. We were hired to fill 10 openings.
They chose us out of over 1200 resumes submitted online. I think that literally translates to me being a 1 in 120 winner!
We spent the day in orientation and sensitivity training. I'll be training for 6 weeks in classroom, plus a couple more weeks in the call center before they let me fly solo. But it's okay.
Yeah, it was a good day. And I'm feeling much better than I did last week about the job situation; well, actually, better than I've felt since last October. Aw hell, it was a long time since I liked that last job!
Anyway, yeah ... I'm going to spend the evening counting my blessings.
