No, because if I was a poet, then they would have to be good, and that I would have to have a reason for writing them.

She is
by;
T. Stone
She is moonlight; starshine.
We look up in wonder;
marvel at her being
while we eat of the worm--
hollowing out her core.
She is radiance; joy.
We furrow her conscious;
fester and go to rot,
while she builds up a berm--
from apathetic spore.
She is singing us up.
From the decay and muck.
On her we sup and suck;
like parasitic worms--
we, into her warm core.
<end>

Admittedly, on those two I got a bit carried away...prior to the creation of those samples, my alliteration had been weak. So I am looking for a gloomy medium...

One of my little expiriments. I set the timer for 2 minutes and started writing. This is what came out:
Closed eyes;
Lost in the loss of innocence
Gun fire,
Fatal shot,
Flowers bloom from a crimson dot;
Seed of hate,
Seed of fate,
Why are we here?
Can you fault:
All the times tried,
Tears cried,
All waited while they died…
Collective heart:
Dripping,
Ripping apart:
1 foot in front of the other:
100 paper cranes,
Flutter to the floor:
Insane…
1ne, 2wo, 3hree;
4our, 5ive, 6ix…
Salsa,
Dance life away…
Welcome a loss of innocence,
Closed eyes.

Very interesting for a two minuet writing.
Mine, on the other hand...
Just put a spit threw my gut and roast me now. This insult to poetry goes past the very last dregs of the tea cup.
I doubt that it can be improved in anyway...
Doomed
black magic wraps around my soul
as I call to the dead
my furture must be told by those long gone
the spirts that hate me so
rise from beds of silk
I can feel the dread amonst the dead
as I ask them to predict my fate
they look upon me with emty eyes
the deadly darkness swirls around us
telling only lies
you shall die you shall die
there voices mear whispers to my ears
they drift before me
tales of past emit from them
now I let them go back to sleep
in coffins of wood
beds of silk await them
as worms crawl over rotting flesh
the spirts rest once again
I shall join them soon
for my soul is doomed
for an eternity of hell and rest

Nah, I wouldn't call it carried away. It seemed a bit much, but I think you have an amazing grasp of the English language. I really admire your work!

How very kind. Well, I agree that for those two it seemed a bit much. Maybe if I tone that aspect of the poem down a bit, I might have a shot at publication. Recently, they were rejected from Niederngasse Online, I suspect for that reason. I am hoping that The Indiana Review likes them at least, we'll see.

Thanks Xng! I like repetition, it is my friend. I have fun with fragmented stuff like that too. I think I posted my Alphabet at 3am up here a while ago...it's fragmented to force it into being an acrostic of the entire alphabet. I like things like that. It's fun.

Actually, I was wondering whether or not I had posted it and so I went back through the thread to see if I really had or not. It turns out I haven't yet posted my Alphabet at 3am, so here it is:
Always anticipating,
barely breathing,
crawling catatonic to a
dirty dismissal. My
everlasting entreaty to the
fanatically faithful;
grovelling,
hand to heart,
inconceivable
justice
killing me kindly;
lovingly lost
'midst my many memories
never nearing the
opulent offering, merely
persuing the
queen of
red hearts.
Stopping suddenly,
terribly,
unyeildingly understated in
violent release:
wanting, waiting for that
xerox copy of my soul. Forever
yearing towards that shimmering
zenith.

Thanks, I wrote another one in the same style later on, while bored in my Lit class, perhaps I'll post it in a bit.
As for poems in Japanese: I've written a few haiku in Japanese, but have yet to attempt anything else.

Twisted:
Anyone can write an ABC poem, but what I liked about yours was the alliteration affected in the same line. THAT is a rare feat and to keep on topic is fantastic. Great piece of work!
You mentioned haiku, do you write any haibun?

Thank you very much for you comment Poet, it made me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
As for Haibun, I've fiddled at them a bit in English, but have yet to attempt to do one in the Japanese lenaguage.

I wrote this pantoum during the course of the semester. Surprisingly, the effort came easy for me and that it speaks about one of my favorite subjects - Genuine Insanity - made it all so much more the better. I also have it written in free verse, but that I am considering for publication so I keep it off the Net. Have at it chums...
The Mad Ones
This is why sometimes I talk to my silent friend, Spalding
During lucifugous hours, the brain prattles on with words
The insipid world blinks politely at such madness
On an island, somewhere, Tom Hanks understands that
During lucifugous hours, the brain prattles on with words
Spoken freely to a smiling volleyball with tattooed teeth
On an island, somewhere, Tom Hanks understands that
Insanity is not always sun burnt or thirsty
Spoken freely to a smiling volleyball with tattooed teeth
Kerouac said that his favored people are the “Mad Ones”
Insanity is not always sun burnt or thirsty
Madness is the throttled throat of a creative mind

Simple, I like it. In fact, it's sparked off something I've been thinking about, to the point where I'm actually going to go away and write the damn thing! I think the repetition is effective and the whole thing is rhythmic without being claustrophobic (if that makes any sense)... I particularly like the line "the insipid world blinks politely at such madness". It does a good job of communicating the often patronising indulgence with which unimaginative people regard the eccentric.

And those are the types of people that really piss me off. Although I have met people that attempt to feign insanity without that necessary twinkle in their eye. Those are posers just as guilty as the people posing Goth. Most insane people are not terribly unfriendly or insane, in fact ... they have escaped insanity because the mainstream world is nuts.
Oh, and thanks for the kind words about the poem...There is a pattern to repitition in pantoums, and I think this one works pretty well too.

emerald and deviant,
wow! TY for the positive feedback. I was kind of intimidated to post here among real writers. I dabble occasionally, but am more of a fan than a creator.

If I die
Before I get to say Goodbye
I'm sorry that I'll make you cry
but I won't live a lie
Not anymore
Not life before
If it makes you feel better
come with me
we can both be free
Of this thing we call life
We can get rid of it
with one little knife
This moment will be our last
until we will be together at last
you thank god you're alive
I thank I god I will die
Your prayers have been answered
mine have been washed away
Thank you O' god for this glorious day
For this is the day
I take my final bow
and say
Goodbye,
Goodbye for now

Full of clichés, typical 'I'm so goth', suicidal poetry. Sorry to be so brutal. Go introduce yourself.

My second "alphabet poem." They aren't hard, just a little tricky towards the end. Not as full of alliteration as the last one.
Alphabet at 6pm
A silent inquiry
Beating heart
Chase warm blood through my veins.
Damnably smooth, those words of yours;
Enter my ears like velvet
Framing thoughts with
Gloved hands.
Hellishly delightful, those words of yours
Infiltrate my mind; feed on my decaying consciousness like the
Jackal you were born to be,
Knowing, all the while, that you have stolen a part of me.
Lamenting,
Mourning your Promethean plight
Ne’re thought you, however, to pass on what you have gained.
Oh, woe unto you, chained to rock of your own creation
Picked from you, your entrails.
Queen I am of this moment:
Raven to your Poe.
Silent wings fly
Through your thoughts, in turn through mine.
Unless…return what is now yours:
Vicarious thoughts.
Wait for your moment. Heart of
Xylem.
Yawning towards your end,
Zephyr turned violent; rent flesh from bone.

Here's one I wrote today I think it's better...
The List-
As I sit and stare into the abyss
I start to list
How many kisses I'd gotten
How many people I'd loved
How many people I'd judged
and it all came down to numbers
that led me to wonder
Why do we have such a strong will to kill?
Who are we mad at?
What do we gain from strain and pain?
It's almost insane to think about it
all this thought
to find the answers I sought
