People are so dumb! Two days ago, my friend and I were standing on the street looking as usual, like "disturbed kids". People who passed by looked at us from head to toe and talked about us( AS IF WE DIDN'T NOTICE!!!), Hehe later on, my friend started talking old english loudly and I sang the Witches Chant( by Inkubbus/Sukkubus) and people started holding their kids by hands and whispering to each other. I can't remember ever laughing this much! Ahh, the foolish ones. I like sticking out in the crowd.

Yes, that's it. If people are going to watch you you might as well give them a show. Keep 'em entertained. Be the dancing monkey. Be it!

It is fun to be a dancing monkey? Umm... Okay, if you say so.

Perhaps you guys are being a bit hard on Queenie.
I know it hasn't been that long since you all were teenagers.
We all do things like that when we are younger, and feel like we are being looked down upon for our appearance.
I certainly did my share of silly things to assert my individuality when I was her age.
It's just part of growing up.
Plus she lives in Lebanon, and I would imagine that being "Goth" in the Middle East isn't something most people see everyday over there. I can only imagine the reaction "Goths" get, and I bet they take a lot of shit about their appearance.
My 1.9 cents on the situation.

E_P_S is right. In here, people spend hours talking about persons who are "not normal" and don't follow every rule in the book. And they are sometimes really harsh!People, especially women with absolutely nothing to do, live off talking about other people and pay attention to every single detail from clothing to how they do their hair to which perfume they're wearing. It's sickening!
You're definitely not losing your 1.9 cents,EPS. :P

FINALS WEEK ISN'T EVEN HERE YET!!!! and I'm still fucking stressed out, papers up the ass, kids in my class asking if they can still pass after having taken a fifth of the tests, financial aid running out, financial aid not around for summer classes, presentations coming up...
::inhales smoke::
Fuck it all.

Xng, honestly no one labels you as "goth" here. Punks, goths, and metalheads are all categorized as "disturbed kids". Just because we wear black people look at us in a different manner, I cannot change that. I really didn't mean to prove to them that their stereotypical judgements toward us were true, I juist thopugh it would be fun. I guess I look at it now in another perspective.
P.S I'm pretty sure people knew we were kidding when they heard us laughing as soon as they passed.

Thanks E_P_S for understanding! It's really different in Lebanon. I mena what am I supposed to do when I see two women talking about me right in front of me and looking at me in disgust. I can't just shut up and lower my head. I think it was some sort of teen rebellion or something. Well I'm sorry if I caused a bad name to all the goths out there.
There you go. *hands down the rest of her goth cards*

I totally get your point, Xng. Of course, I'm not going to think that you don't like me, and I certainly won't like you any less for stating your opinion! *hugs*

Well... let's see... something different to bitch about.
One of the girls at work is pregnant. She's 17. My age. And she may have twins. She's dropped out of school and "has to" work full time now. She has no support from her parents (Who don't know yet) and her ex was going to run out on her until she threatened legal action.
And as bad as this sounds... I don't want her bringing a kid into that. Nor do a few of my other friends. I'm proud of her for taking the responsibility but I really don't think she's ready...
I have no clue what to do.

I think you should stay out of this unless she asks for your help.
This sounds like a highly complicated situation, which should ring self-preservation alarm bells in your head. Plus it's a very personal situation, so she may not appreciate you trying to do anything for her.
Unless she is a close friend and not just a work colleague.
That is just my humble opinion.

It's scary seeing someone your age pregnant and in trouble. However, it seems that despite the situation, she's determined to have the child no matter what. Which means there is very little that will keep her from doing so, even well intentioned and rational advice from someone who cares. Because it's very likely she thinks the same thing every now and then, if not all the time.
Best you can do is let her rant about it, and help her out as best you can afterward, especially since it doesn't seem like you're very close to her.

You should get an external. You can set it up so everything you save goes to it.

It should say when you get the external hard drive. You can get like 500 meag's out of them. Some of them have usb cords that you can hook up. Then when you save somthing change the path to your new hard drive. You can also retrive indo out of an old hard drive as long as it hasen't been defraged.

Fuck. I'm pissed.

I wonder if your new hard drives aren't being formatted properly to work with the BIOS you have on your motherboard. That'd account for those critical failures, which by rights shouldn't be happening. Who do you have installing them?

No one really likes her at work. I try to help everyone out and get us to work as a team, not have little groups.
And no, I'm not close to her, but I do want to help.
