| Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

I fricken loved the remake of Wicked Game, and Join Me rocked to! I do agree they have changed, but I still like their music. I have told you I think before, that I like just about all genres, exept for country and most rap, it burns my ears.

Yeah, HIM is pretty good. They aren't my FAVORITE band, but I do enjoy a few of their songs (a few I can't stand).
Good to see so many active people here... I love it

Don't worry Mr Pits, I have a shrinking Ray Gun

"Wicked Game" is a song done by Chris Isaac. It was released in the late 80's or early 90's. Another Chris Isaac song I love is "Baby Did a Bad-Bad Thing" .
I guees HIM wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't ripped off 80's metal and put it to whiny vocals. To me, they're just another sad thing that's happened in the world. Have you seen the ridiculous HIM couples rings they hawk on e-bay? Talk about selling out at the first opportunity, they're as bad as CoF!
ROFLMFAO!

Actually completely forget about that last post. Everyone has a right to an opinion. It is no one else's place to try and change the way someone thinks.

Actually I'd like to hear the Wicked Game remake, I always loved that song. Plus Helena Christensen was half naked and covered in sand in the video.
Mmm mmm mmm GOOD!!

I'm sorry but people that just say HIM rules are annoying
I think quite a few of you agree that if you like something you should have a reason for liking it.
With that said I enjoy H.I.M. becuase of thier deep lyrical content. They're songs about love apply to me, becuase I've felt that way about woman I've loved, so I understand the message they convey. Then again everyones interpretation of love is just that, but thats another rant for another day.

One more thing to add. So what if they're going mainstream, everyone either loves mainstream or is against it, no one ever thinks of what they THEMSELVES like.
In a way disliking something for being mainstream is mainstream. If you think about it most people in these forums are against mainstream therefore, by being against it you are conforming to it.
So if you truely wanted to be against mainstream you would be yourself and think for yourself, without a care for what is mainstream and what is not.

Love metal is a good album but it isn't that good I could say it my favorit. But still I'm hooked on Circle of Fear...
Ville should grow long hair again.. Ugly thing^^
I'm like fan who hasn't got their CDs

Mr. Crow.... you are a freakin genious. That is what I think, exept I have never takin it to the deep level of how that is against mainstream. But if a band goes mainstream, or sell out, as long as their music still rocks, they rock. And I like HIM for ville's deep vocals, the lyrics, and I think midge's guitar work. AND GAS ROCKS TOO!

Well, I just downloaded some HIM songs, and I will delete them soon, as they are wasting 5mb of space on my computer.

I like their song, "Wings Of A Butterfly." That's it.
And... I'm going to quote my dad here:
"Whether you're pulling off its wings or crushing it underfoot, it's pretty god damn hard to sound tough when you're singing about butterflies..."
