me or something like it...
My name is Cinaria, I live in a frozen tundra called Michigan. I am 25, a creative writing major..... wow, what else? I guess I'm a "baby goth" on this site. As far as my gothness is concerned, I am what I am. Labels sort of piss me off, but I'll forgive it this time around. I'm pretty into music. Some of my favorite bands are Cradle of Filth, the Cure, Sisters of Mercy, Samael, Fear Factory, the Smiths, Nine Inch Nails, and I am really into this CD called "the Unquiet Grave". I play the bass guitar and I am not all that good at it. I smoke Djarums and I tend not to drink to get drunk, although I like a glass of wine with my dinner. As far as my looks are concerned...... I have dark red hair that goes to the middle of my back and I just cut my bangs the other day. They sort of look like that chick's from NCIS. Actually, I think the color was Manic Panic's Vampire Red ( a tasty color). I have green eyes and pencil thin eyebrows. I am chubby, no getting past that but I am pretty curvy. I am pastey and I burn easily if out in the sun too long. Ha ha, so is my boyfriend. I wear glasses and I hate them. Okay, well, I am bored so I am going to go now........Maybe I'll finally be able to sleep tonight..... Insomnia fucking sucks.

cinaria, welcome to Gothic.net. I like your introduction, and your honesty. This is a gothic literary culture first and foremost, so you will find that lots of folks here put a premium on good spelling and proper grammar and puctuation. I mention that as a heads up, although yours seems fine.
You might break things up into smaller paragraphs. A gereral rule of thumb around here is: the easier your posts are to read, the more people will be interested in interacting with you.
Yes, Insomnia does suck. It does get easier to take with age (I know that answer is no help now, but it's what I know.)
Once again, welcome! I look forward to your contributions.

Thank you, I appreciate the welcome and the heads up. It's hard to find others like myself when you live in a podunk town like I do. The funny thing is, I was looking for something completely different when I came across this site.
Ha, was this meant to happen? Maybe. My boyfriend laughed and told me that the powers that be were directing me toward like-minded folk so I wouldn't be lonely, but being goth has that degree of loneliness. Sometimes I wallow in it, but it is nice to talk to others.
Right now I am at school, waiting for my 10am class. I need to type out my essay, so I am going to take off for now. Oh, I found a good song at 5am when I was going through my cassettes. Hee hee, I tend to get excitable over small things.....
Until later.......

Oh yes, and I didn't sleep again. I hate it but I took advantage of it. I cleaned out my closet and found a stack of old 45's and my cassettes.....
Welcome to my mundane existence :-)

I know the cure for insomnia...
It is an old remedy. It is called wacking-off. It will chill you right the fuck out.
Also, welcome. I too suffer from chronic insomnia.

whacking off and other proclivities
Haha, whacking off is fun but believe it or not, it doesn't put me to sleep. If it did, I'd be asleep for at least twelve hours per night. My boyfriend gives me quite the workout as well, but sleep still eludes me......but....I can't really whack off, but I can "click my mouse".
As far as what I was looking for when I found this site.... I was looking for a certain haircut and somehow ended up here. Funny how that happens.....
I thoroughly suck at playing the bass. I can play a couple of songs by Joy Division, but they are spotty at best.
Mmmmm.....waffles!

On the internet while in class. *tut tut* Then again in English all I ever did was sit there and draw. I thing my English teacher let me get away with it because I was at lest doing something I was good at.

I'm in my english class right now as we speak and the dipshit teaching told me that I couldn't do a critical analysis paper on Sin City. I'm going to do it anyway because I pay good money to go to this class.
I don't sleep much. Typically I am lucky if I get eight hours of sleep in a week. It sucks and I refuse to take any kind of sleep aid.
I am in the Eastern time zone, Xnguela. Are you in Central time?
Ho hum, back to to my paper........
What a dick this guy is.......

Certain parts of the Upper Peninsula are in Central time. I live downstate in a little podunk town. I'm typing out my paper on Sin City right now. What's he going to do? Spank me and take away my birthday? Well, I don't want him to spank me. That's my boyfriend's job.
Where in Wisconson are you?

Ambien saved my life.
As soon as start going nuts from lack of sleep is when the insomnia really sets in. I take Ambien once, maybe twice, a week.
It helps. It really does.
It was the only way for me to escape my sleeplessness. I would recommend it.

hello hello all. The student senate drones tried to coerce me into singing karioke (spelling?) at the talent show. Wow, I have never walked so fast in my life. I have an innate fear of being looked at as though I was under a microscope.
Well, I get funny looks from people all the time, but I didn't want the entire student body peering at me like I was a bug. It's sort of unnerving.
I think things with my boyfriend are turning sour. It sucks and I don't like it. I'm not asking for advice because I will just let this run its course. If it wasn't meant to be, then it wasn't. I can't say that I'll be okay about it because I've spent the last couple of hours in this weird sort of depression, but I'll accept it and try to move on as best as possible......
I'm a magnet for this kind of crap.....:-), oh well...... back to being a lonely little soul..... hee hee, that and I can watch Twin Peaks all I want now.....

I took Ambien last summer and I had a tendency to sleepwalk. I ended up walking about ten blocks until a cop pulled up and asked me what the hell was I doing walking around town in just a nightgown at 4am. I don't really remember too much about it, but my doctor took me off of it the next day. Sometimes I like my insomnia because I am pretty motivated to clean stuff and cook. Ha, I sound sooooo mundane......hahahahahaha.....

Thanks, X. I appreciate it. I am so used to this kind of thing. It sucks because he was one of the only people that didn't think I was a freak and that understood why I think the way I do. He has a hard time talking about his feelings as far as love is concerned. Haha, I am just the opposite. I talk about it until suddenly I want to set things aflame, which is never good :-).
Wow, what a pisser. I hope he gets out of his funk. I could just throw myself into another one of my CD burning binges and try to forget about it for a while.

Cinaria have you tried different herbal teas, they help me sometime.
One thing though, nether have more then 2 cut before going to bed or you have to get up in the middle of the night to take a leek.

Yeah, chamomile used to help, but now it just makes me want to pee a lot. I guess that Lunesta is supposed to be a pretty good prescription, but I HATE taking pills. But.....I need to not be so obstinate about it. Hee hee, I am too stubborn sometimes.....

I'll be back. I have to go bring in my firewood and try to choke down some food.
My tummy feels like a water balloon right now so I think I'll be sticking to ramen noodles tonight......

Hi cinaria. Nice to meet you. Sorry to hear about your insomnia. I can relate. Once I spent 7 days and nights with no sleep at all. It totally sucked. I tried some OTC sleep aids, but they don't work. What works for me is Kava Kava or Kratom. They are both herbal, but the Kratom is hard to find and it is Really Strong.
