I raised brine shrimp (sea monkeys) in different environments and recorded how environment affected their population...like I kept some in the dark, some in the fridge, some near the heater, and then the control bunch which was left on my dresser in "normal" conditions...
when I was done with the project I moved them all to the same container and used them to feed my fish for as long as they lasted...my fish was so damn spoiled then. It meant he had to work for it though, he had to chase down his food first

Hey Kitsune that should help a lot whith the other options I have. I don't know if this is a good one but "The growth and development of a chicken egg as it hatches in to a chick"
If I could get some in put on this telling me if this a good topic or not, would be good.

Ben I honestly wonder where the "sea monkey" thing came from. They don't resemble monkeys at all!

Did Grey do that to you too?

Correcting people's grammar never really made sense to me.
You see, you imply that your grammar is therefore perfect, when you correct others. Yet it is my understanding that all grammar would be imperfect, if we had a conversation with someone, two-hundred years ago. Yet, this person two-hundred years ago, who supposedly spoke the same language as we did, would have a problem conversing with someone who spoke an identical language, four-hundred years ago. So, if we correct other's grammars, we are making an idiot of ourselves, because our grammar is not perfect.

eyes, you're right, that is a lot of fun.
I especially like the ones that get so frustrated. Their logic is amusing!

I dont typically correct grammar, but am I the only one that noticed a grammatic error in the first sentence of this post??? I found that incredibly hilarious.

It's one thing to make grammer and punctuation mistakes. It is an entirely different story to entirely disreguard the basics of grammer and punctuation. Also: I, personally, do not attempt to say my grammer or punctuation is flawless. It is far from it. It is, however, not an absurd idea to make corrections on things you know to be true. In fact, people who care are generally thankful for a noticed mistake. The general idea is that once the mistakes are acknowledged they will occur with less frequency in the future.

My grammar is growing worse with age. And so is my spelling.
When my writing finally goes, I think that I'll be ready for that friendly looking box in the dirt.

You see, when I see people correct other's grammars, I just look at it like "n00b repellent". Usually, there is no correction, it's just, "LEARN ENGLISH YOU MOTHER FUCKER!!".

Yes, Kit, I second Tenet's sentiment.

awww, yay, two of my favorite people on the planet like me!
Icarian If you really payed attention you'd see that there is generally a polite suggestion to not use netspeak, or something similar, before it is moved to the state of, as you put it, "LEARN ENGLISH YOU MOTHER FUCKER!!" Generally people who earn that sentiment are those who show no signs of caring or being willing to change. Aaaaanywho...
I just watched an episode of Law and Order: SVU. Firstly, that show makes me sad inside and brings up my demons, I ought to not watch it. Secondly, I found all the parallels between the case in that episode and the Michael Jackson case. I mean, the pedophile even look and acted similarly to Michael Jackson.

Oooh, was it the one where the guy dangled the baby out the window because the apartment was on fire and it died of smoke inhalation? Because I saw it too! That show makes me really sad sometimes, and angry, because as bad as it is on that show, you know its worse in real life.

Nope. It was one where the guy was a toymaker and had all sorts of parties for children at his mansion. He had a "secret treasure room" and weird pajamas for kids who "took naps" in the "secret treasure room."

Ew >.< I haven't watched that show in forever. The last one I saw was about a little girl that got kidnapped, ***** and was kept in a basement and used for porn. It made me so sad, even though she was rescued. I switched to Criminal Intent, I can't stand watching it anymore.

Yeah, I watched it because my mom was, but it just hurts too much for me. I really need to refuse to be in the same room with that show.

hmmm...idle question in that though eyes...isn't there one too many of the word "have" in the sentence "You didn't have to answer, you could have just have avoided the issue." Couldn't the third "have" be eliminated?

Here's our conversation.
Let me give you a little background. I though he was younger than me because of the way he spoke (my bad) so I called him "kid" in a post.

I'm old enough to know age and wisdom don't go hand in hand.
Innumerable tests have confirmed I have the mentality of a 26-year old.
And yes, you do have the right to post anything you want, at least until they take you out of the forums.
You see, this is a literary site, which is the essence of being gothic, so you'll have to write correctly if you really want to stay here.
If you don't really care what we think about you, there's no reason why you should stay here.
But, personally, I'd like to see your opinion in certain subjects, to you're going to follow the rules of the site.
So, I reecomend you these two things:
1) Speak correctly. No net speaking.
2) Don't make a thread saying "What is goth to you?"
We get those a lot, and it's annoying.
If you want to know what's gothic, tyoe "Gothic With a Sledgehammer" in Google. It has an almost perfect definition of what's gothic.
|
you did Innumerable tests which 'have' confirmed you have the mentality of a 26 year old, good for you but did you read what I wrote correctly, I said who 'determines ' what Goth is, I wanted your own thought on it, I don't want the definition if I wanted that I know where to find it and gothic literary site. wow people keep putting restriction on everything, ah well way of the world or just society. well never mind then I don't expect you to get it and I’m not being mean like the rest of you just being truthful , I can't change what you feel so just forget... this site is dumb no one good here to have intellectual conversations anyways

ugh, why must we be plagued with people like this!? I get so frustrated meeting people like this!! I secretly think it's all because people like that reproduce and pass their idiocy on the their children. So, ummm...Gnetters should start reproducing like rabbits and take over the world...

He wrote a P.S. to me, in which he did cared to write correctly.
You know my too-forgiving nature, but I'd really forgive him if he makes an understandable, competent comment
