Today I'm depressed and that's why I drew this vampire. I messed up with the lights again so I edited it with psp by adding more shadow on the whole pic and thus it looks like I haven't made it by a pencil at all.
Anyways, if you have a look at this then zoom again:

She has a rapturous look in her eyes that I really like. She reminds me of a character from Dark Crystal.

oh no. For some reason, it can be zoomed and it shows only 40% of its real size... dammit
it looks much better in its full size, when you can see everything you can't see in its current size

ooo, end that's so cool. The size of the head in reference to the shoulders is a little off proportion wise, but the face and head are absolutely stunning. Great work! Also, thanks for the comments on my work

end, you're devastatingly good. I only WISH I could sketch that well. Are you going to go to an art school? Or if you've already graduated, did you go to an art school? Cuz DAMN.

Here's a 3D animation I did in class last week while bored. I already posted the shorter version in the video thread. I extended it a little bit and thought it should've gone in art instead.
Hope you enjoy things that are shiny.

Thanks, I wanted the eyes to be the first thing you notice when you look at it. But maybe it could stand some shading/darkening on the rest of it. Thanks for the opinion. I think I will work on it...

typically, i dont try to draw an entire human (or human like) body. That was my first attempt at putting a human figure in that kind of a seated position. I dont have any anatomy books. Would anyone want to recommend a good one, for artistic purposes???
while Im at it, somebody reccomend a good eraser too, because I did that with a regular old number 2 pencil and the eraser on the end of it, on a piece of printer paper. God I need art supplies.
p.s. I really love the mermaid, especially the way her tail fans out, and the colors.

Kitsune, how beautiful! very imaginative and inspiring, really. <3
Lena, nice work too! I should check this thread more often
photobucket rulez
corporalaccident, no; unfortunately I never got a chance to go an art school, there is no nearby. I'm going just an ordinary high school and wish I were in art line.
Kitsune and Sanctus: that pic looks more like in wrong sizes than it is live, cuz I didn't shoot it vertically over it; I took it somewhat by wing and it makes her neck look much taller than it is, for example. So the head too. ( and anyway that work's still unfinished. you can see it from the cloth on her.) And for clarification, the left shoulder doesn't end there where the paper ends
Good works here, anyway.

TK> I love the mermaid and how she's reaching out to the eel thing so tenderly.

Nice shading on the collar bone. The eyes are creepy as hell but I love 'em! You work well with graphite.

Oubli, that freakin' RAWKS!
Geez, all you people make me wanna bust out my art supplies. I'll probably be doing a lot of art stuff once I quit smoking.
Kit, your pictures are wonderful.
End, I love your work.
Mr.E, I wish I could produce such wonders when I'm 'bored'.

^_^ Thanks, next week there will be another orby video post by me, I guess I'm kinda showing the evolvement of the animation, 1st it was 6 seconds long, now it's 12 and spins more. The Finaly which will be posted next week is 24 seconds and the ball will move... ^_^
With wallpaper of penguins dancing from Mary Poppins. The only thing I could change after that is to get the penguins to actually dance in the animation on the wallpaper, but I'm unsure as to how to do that in 3Ds Max 6.
Edit: Oh yeah, very nice painting as well
Wolfmoon: >_< Sorry if I sounded somewhat egotistical in producing something so cool whilst bored. I didn't mean it to come off sounding that way. I just really like doing that stuff so I do it in my free time even when bored 'cause it's fun to do.

No I suppose not. But I'm not sure what to do with it from there.
