I believe you are making the mistake of using the French spelling, (matte), but according to the Oxford English Dictionary, the English spelling is matt.

Having lank, boring hair, because that's actually quite a good stating point from which to be crative, whereas frizzy hair is always going to be just... frizzy. (Which might be nice if you like, um... frizzy).
