I'd look around my house to see if anyone was home with me. I find my sister there. We are now alone in space together so I squish my self in a corner in my room and stay there and cry all day.

if your brain was damaged and all you could remember was an eternal loop of any period of your life (you get to choose), what period would you want to remember forever?

would it be a month, a year, a couple of years? whichever it is, I choose any period of my university years in London or Germany.

If they told you that if you had a rather painful operation there would be a 10% chance of you living for 250 years, would you have it?

that's a hard one.
first, it would depend on the quality of life. does the aging process slow exponentially in order to make those 250 years somewhat functional. i wouldn't want to be a pile of dust with eyeballs if i chose the surgery.
second, i think it would be difficult to watch everyone i've ever cared about die off time and again, for almost three generations - especially my kids. that would hurt.
a lot.
then again - the chance is only 10 per cent. as long as the alternative isn't immediate death - a 90 % chance - then i guess i'd go through with it and take my chances. i'd like to see where this world is a century from now.
