I thought that was very difficult too, but when you start paying attention to it, it becomes a habit.
I always carry a small bottle of water with me when possible (in class, in my room, when I'm walking, when I'm shopping,...) and I just drink a little bit every ten minutes, that way you don't have to drink huge amounts of water in one time and the bottle will be empty before you realise it. I hardly drink anything else than water, and I usually drink about 1,5 - 2 litres a day. When I'm really dieting I even drink up to 3 liters a day, but you should probably start with 1 liter and drink more every day until you can drink 2 liters without problems.

Some extra motivation:
-Drinking lots of water is good for your skin.
-When you drink enough water, you feel less hungry (sometimes, when you think you're hungry, you're actually thirsty but your brain is confused).
-You can get water for free, which means you have more money to spend on clothes and cd's.
-Drinking lots of water is good to prevent cellulite.
-You don't get drunk from water, so you don't have a headache the next day.
-Water isn't bad for your teeth.

If you can get one of those squat 1 litre bottles, it helps. I find a tall 1 litre bottle very off-putting, but the squat ones are the same height as a 500ml bottle and it tricks your brain into drinking more than you think you are. And that has to be a good thing!

I have 2 full meals and maybe a snack, depending. The full meals make it easy to get through the rest of the day. This morning I had bacon, eggs, hashbrowns and a slice of toast and butter. It is all I've eaten today except for drinking water.

I don't think that's a very good idea. You should eat several of small healthy meals, like salads and lots of fruit. You won't be hungry because you eat regularly, and you will loose wait.

I know everyone's metabolism's different, but I think the general idea of non-deprivation is sound.

Bacon and eggs are not a good idea. Bacon has a lot of grease, aka fat, and eggs have too much cholesterol.

Mr. Atkins can kiss my ass.

I think the fact that he's dead should tell us something.

I try to make sure I get a little of everything and take some vitamins (mainly because of natural problems like anemia).

The two meal thing workout. I keep track of what I'm eating and daily activities help burn it off.

I'll have to try that sometime. From what I've read in health studies you should not eat anything before bed. There's supposed to be a 5 hour space between your last meal and your bed time as anything eaten closer to your bed time turns to fat.

Yes, that is correct. I workout Monday thru Friday. I do about a 5 mile walk/jog, then toning excercises along with the occassional stretching. Stretching is a little less frequent. Sometimes just stretch for a few hours on Sunday.

(My butt is looking so much better.)

diet pills

Use the diet pills but, if you use them too much your metabolism becomes addicited to them. I just started eating healthier and my stoamch shrunk so, I reduced my appetitate naturally and in a really healthy way. Now, I eat less than 500 calories a day and I don't feel hungry at all. But, I'm still fat... I still have a lot of work to do.

2000 for the average adult, more you are even moderately active. The average teen girl needs about 2500 and the average teen boy needs about 2750 and those are just to maintain weight not gain any which most young teens need to do in order to stay in proportion to their height. Any less thank 1500 calories a day is extreme dieting and has many negative affects on your health and any less than 1000 is considered an eating disorder.

Ya. I was going to say something, glad that's already covered. A person wants to be healthy not fat. (Few thousand is way too many calories.)

Really if you have had much to eat in a long time, I've heard V8 is wonderful. It doesn't have that many calories, but it is still packed with vitamin goodness. However, like most fruit juice, it is highly acidic, so don't drink it first thing in the morning.

While getting readjusted to food; water and something light like a salad in the morning is good. Orange juice helps improve the stomaches ability to accept and digest food.

I take regular vitamins in the morning. One thing is an iron pill with a glass of orange juice. The orange juice helps the iron absorb and helps my liver, therefore, blood and circulation. Usually stick to a bowl of cereal, but I've gotten wild with my breakfast. (Protein is good.)

Should mention that caffeine tends to interfere with the absorption of iron in to the blood stream. Think that happens with some of the other vitamins too.

I can't believe all this bullshit .
Just three steps :
1-water , not fucking sodas (AKA water+sugar)
2-eat well , ask a doctor , his job is prevention too , not only disease treatment . And they love people who wants to be healthy (well , mine does)
3-EXERCISE!!!!!!! Just walk an hour everyday and you'll see .
