Flash, AAAAAAAAAAAAAA-AAAAAAAAH !!! :)
Flash Gordon (1980, Directed by Mike Hodges)
In this update of the 1930's comic strip, Flash is a football hero who is skyjacked aboard Dr. Zarkov's rocketship along with beautiful Dale Arden. The threesome are drawn into the influence of the planet Mongo, controlled by Ming the Merciless. Ming has been testing the Earth with unnatural disasters, and deeming it a threat to his rule, he plans to destroy it. He also intends to take Dale as his concubine. Flash must avoid the amorous attentions of Ming's daughter and unite the warring kingdoms of Mongo to rescue Dale and save our world. IMDB
Classic !!!

The sister leaves home and leaves the young boy her record collection, which immediately seizes his attention. As a teen, he makes record reviews for an underground newspaper. He submits those to Creem magazine writer Lester Bangs (Phillip Seymour Hoffman) and gets his attention. Slipping into an inner group connected with Stillwater, Rolling Stone agrees to bankroll him on a trip with the group. "Penny Lane" (Kate Hudson), the Band Aid's leader is enamored with the group leader (Billy Crudup), but befriends the teen. He responds with complete infatuation with her, but he is equally enamored with the charismatic guitarist. While accepted by the band (other members are Jason Lee, John Fedevich and Mark Kozeleck), they nonetheless refer to him as "the enemy - a rock critic". IMDB
Excellent !!!

Casablanca. Followed by the Loony Tunes homage: 'Carrotblanca'.
I honestly don't know which is better, but they both qualify as fave movies. (Although Daffy Duck's version of 'Knock on Wood' slays me, every time.)

I think it was Hellraiser. A weird movie. It is a view from somewhere, not a story.
But they shouldn't play hide and seek like that, my nerves were gone after watching

I think the last movie I saw was a home video of my niece's first b-day party.

The unrated version of the Hills Have Eyes. Which was by and large quite amusing.

"Edward Scissorhands". It was the first time I've seen it, I cannot ever remember crying as much as I did in the end...

A friend forced me to watch "Aquamarine" with her (no, really, lol). That was by far the worst movie I have ever watched... It was quite amusing. I wouldn't reccomend it.

I rented Serenity and Final Fantasy: Advent Children.
I loved Firefly when it was on air, and miss it like mad.
But the movie is perfectly loyal to the series.
And, Advent Children? Let me summarize it in three words:
Sephiroth
is
God!

I just watched a movie called "coffee and cigarettes" (big surprise that I chose persicely this film from the shelf in the film rent place).
I can't say I liked it. All I liked was the acting and the camera. The rest was a mess.
It consists only of short episodes where people sit in cafés and drink coffee and smoke. There is absolutely no theme and hardly any clear idea.
Infact, I got extremely bored half way through. There was much more one could have made out of such an attractive title as "coffee and cigarettes".
If the title is so clear, why did the characters constantly have to talk about coffee and cigarettes? how about waving another idea around these objects, on a less materialistical level?
has anyone seen this movie?

Lord Of the Rings :The Return of the King (2003, Directed by Peter Jackson)
Gondor is overrun by the orcs of Mordor, and Gandalf rides to Minas Tirith to aid the humans in the war that is ahead. Aragorn must realize his true identity and purpose as the King of Men, and journey with Gimli and Legolas to summon the Army of the Dead so that the battle against evil can be won. Meanwhile, paranoia and suspicion rises between Frodo, Sam and Gollum as they continue their increasingly dark and dangerous travel to Mount Doom, the one place where The Ring can be destroyed once and for all. "Ed Wood" -- I love how the movie portrays Ed's relationship with Bela Lugosi, and that it's shot in black and white.
