it's wide as I have a dual screen setup...
The thing up the top is a SysMetrix skin I made (it monitors the CPU/RAM and disk space)

That's very pretty and shiney, devourer...
Unfortunately I can't see yours, Nardol. My company blocks hosting sites like geocities, and I don't have a PC at home. Which is a pity..."old world charm"... sounds like I'd dig it...
Here's my current one:

Very nice, Nike. I love "Dune", and I especially love the sandworms. I have occasionaly wondered idly if Tim Burton got his inspiration for the worms in Beetlejuice from them...
I have a new desktop already. (I think I have some sort of ADD...)

Here's my current. It's right up my alley.

Thanks... I think I'm going to have to go out and buy the Dune paperback trilogy again (my copies are packed up at the moment as I'm in the process of remodeling my bedroom. I think I'll just buy new ones so I don't have to dig through all the crap I have boxed up).

I usually find mine from official websites of the things I like or unnoficial fansites. Most of the wallpapers I use are from PC games I play or science fiction I love, like Farscape.
Also there are a few websites out there who let your browse through their wallpaper collections for different themes. Some charge, some are free and some are just downright annoying with advertising crap. You have to weed out the ones who are utter crap or pop an ad in your face every 2 minutes. There are a few decent free ones and I've never tried any that charge yet.

Print screen, then open the Paint program and paste it. You should be able to save it anywhere you want after.
