Yes. I am like a piece of shit that will not flush. I might be gone but I always come back up and make myself known. Then you get the tools for the toilet and I vanish. But who really knows, why should it matter.

Water was running; children were running
You were running out of time
Under the mountain, a golden fountain
Were you praying at the Lares shrine?
But oh your city lies in dust, my friend

We found you hiding we found you lying
Choking on the dirt and sand
Your former glories and all the stories
Dragged and washed with eager hands

But oh your city lies in dust, my friend

Hot and burning in your nostrils
Pouring down your gaping mouth
Your molten bodies blanket of cinders
Caught in the throes .......

And your city lies in dust

Why does the sun go on shining,
Why does the sea rush to shore,
Don't they know it's the end of the world,
Cause you don't love me anymore,

Why do the birds go on singing,
Why do the stars glow above
Don't they know it's the end of the world,
It ended when I lost your love

I wake up in the morning and I wonder,
Why everything's the same as it was,
I can't understand no I can't understand,
why life goes on the way it does.

Why does my heart go on beating,
Why do these eyes of mine cry,
Don't they know it's the end of the world
It ended when you said goodbye...

- Skeeter Davis End of the World

In Tribute To:

In tribute to:

Santeria, Tekajo, A Simple Poet, Blushing Heliophobe, Pathogen, Tenet 2012, Mr. Maelstrom, Eyes_Of_A_Tragedy, Pitseleh, Loy, Sobeh, Minister Saint-Fond, Soul Immortal, Ghostposts and all the other regulars who left because of the changes that have taken place here ...

I salute you. You will be missed. Some here have no clue how much you will be missed.

TStone, Geisha Girl, Wolfmoon, Xnguela, Empty_Purple_Stars and anyone else I may have missed who was banned by the current Administrators ...

It should never have happened this way. You didn't deserve to get kicked out on your ass after how much you each contributed to the flavor of this place.

(I would appreciate it if each poster who replies quotes this. Thank you)

Because I think the two pages of this thread still deserve attention.

I wonder how many people here still remember those who left.

I miss them.

I remember them, and miss most of them.

Wandering down this memory lane reminded me of merrier times, like when Korova Milkbar and Sanctus Dei initiated The Arena.

Our admins when they do decide to be active (don't worry, its rare) really like banning people for the slightest things. Then they admins go away and sometimes the banned come back under a different name, but the group of people this thread was for made another place which is pretty dead now, but anyway not many of them came back.

I really like this site, or at least the idea of it, I'm not on it a whoole lot. Is it really that different than it was before 2006?

Well we do talk about sex far less often these days and I think that has caused the site to suffer.

This page made me incredibly sad as it reminded me of all the friends I've lost contact with...

MutsumiSakura was awesome. If I remember correctly, she got married earlier this year.

Well, some would maintain that the site is not as creative, literate or intelligent as it was even a few years ago. Here's my not-very-subjective analysis.

Threads that have been created recently in GENERAL:

Random Fact about (over and over again)
What are you doing at this very moment?
what did you do today?
What's made your day?
What are you eating at this moment?
What have you bought?
Have you ever ....?
Tell somthing about yourself, that you haven't shared with someone else
I love....
I hate....
I hate . . . (yes, there's more than one)

Threads I like that were created a few years back in GENERAL:

Weird dream report
..::: Dumb, Illiterate, F**ks ::..
The Latin Language-it's not dead, it's undead!
more questions... (a proper game I've just resurrected)
The Arena
Have You Ever......? (the first one - last posted in 12-5-06)
* (I'm resurrecting that original "Have You Ever......?" to make the point)
The "Funny" Haiku Thread
What's with the pirate thing?

Oh, and "F**K the Botz..." which was the beginning of the end

That suggests to me that over the last couple of years this site has skewed from an exchange of ideas to a place where you tell people all about YOU. And I think there's enough MyFace and LiveTweets out there to give everyone an outlet for their attention whoring. This place used to be something different on the web.

As I said, that is just my not-so-subjective opinion.

Yeah ... the "Girlfriends and Porn" thread was particularly memorable!
