Today, I fell in love again with a few bands I'd forgotten about. Sisters of Mercy, Dead Can Dance, and the Dresden Dolls... I forgot how much I loved those guys. T.T

Is Dresden Dolls really that good? I have heard two of their songs, and they weren't bad, but I haven't looked into them aside from that, because generally I don't like mainstream bands.

Dresden Dolls kick ass. They've only recently kinda sorta hit the mainstream, but they maintain their own. They put on a hell of a show live (click) And generally have a nice and unique style.

They're REALLY good. Basically, they're punk cabaret. It's like... really heavy piano music with drums and, uh... well, go check it out yourself. Their latest release, "Yes, Virginia" is the best I've heard.

Dresden Dolls rule! I saw them live not too long ago. Amazing musicians and highly attractive singer (Amanda Palmer). It's total punk cabaret. I've never heard them be referred to as mainstream though. They're pretty damn alternative.

Closest I've seen them to mainstream was being on a CD from some college magazine, and frontpage on youtube.

They will if I have a say in it. Only I'm slightly worried about it happening too soon, as all my worldy possessions are currently being shipped through the Straits of Malacca which are well known to be seething with pirates ready to steal all my Bauhaus CD's. This just would not do.

Better? BETTER, you say?! What could possibly be better than a pirate?!

Please do answer this, because I'm stumped.

LIES!

Penguins are second after pirates, kitties third, and tacos? They don't even make it to the 'top ten wonderful things' list!
