Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Yes!
Why do you even need to ask if others on a goth forum like the Mission? They've got Wayne Hussey! tSoM Hussey!
Evangeline is a great track.

Hiya,
The only reason I ask this now and again, is that for a while, I`ve seemed to be the only one on this site who listens to them, as I have`nt yet seen anyone else write posts about the Mish !!!.
My favourite Mish tracks are `Tower of Stength`, `Severina`, `Shelter from the Storm`, `Deliverance`, And `Hands Across the Ocean` !!!

Deliverance is a great track for filling the floor at a proper goth night...
But I understand your despair... all too often goth sites fill with little metallers who don't quite know the difference between the Cure (pop-goth) and Slipknot (metal) and why one is really quite a bit more goth than the other...
I wonder how many kids online who say they're goth know of the old goth bands? How many actually listen to tSoM, never mind the Mission or Depeche Mode?

Do you remember `The Metal Gurus` ??? (The Mish`s side project) , and their really cool covers of 70`s rock songs ?. I still want `Waves of sand` (the making of `Carved in Sand` album) on DVD !!!
Do you like Fields of the Nephilim ? (another favourite band)

Neph are always good, and Rosetta Stone have their high points as well... what about the original Suspiria, before the newer metal band? I've had hell trying to get their stuff.
