Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Bauhaus at the Forum
I was wondering if anyone apart from myself is going to see Bauhaus in London on August 8th?

Wish I could.
Sorry, it's irrelevant.

Bauhaus is deffinately not metal enough. What a true Goth band needs, if you ask me, is a shmuck who wears sunglasses even though it's night. The lyrics need to be about commiting some sort of suicide or another. Bauhaus, as everyone can plainly see, is sorely lacking. The lead singer dude doesn't even have greasy hair.
That aside, I saw Bauhaus in Milan this February.

Dawngreeter: are you serious? I mean... you were kidding, right? About that sunglasses and lyrics comment...

He's forty eight years old, I think he's happy he still has hair.
For those going; get to the front because he can make you become a thirteen year old girl. It's quite the experience.

That, and you edited your post, which makes it more obvious, and makes me look like a silly person...
Thanks, and to whom were you sarcastic at? (to be honest, I'm trying to avoid feeling that your comment was aimed at me, you know, because of the 'Bauhaus is not metal enough' thingy)

Yeah, I thought it looked too dry so I added a bit more obviously sarcastic touch to it.
Aimed at no one in particular. Just venting my bitterness that metal equals goth these days. I hear people tell me how they dislike Bauhaus because "their post production is poor." What the moo?

Yeah, I know what you mean. Even worse is that bands like Slipknot equals goth... I mean... come on...
And for me, I don't really dislike Bauhaus because of a poor post producion. I just think the music's boring... but each his own of course!

I'm listening to Bauhaus right now... yay! lol I want to see them in concert, but I'm wondering why they chose to tour with NIN... They should of toured with like Madonna. Now that would be a kick ass show.
