I've noticed, and this is a very non-scientific method-based brand of research, that people who enjoy Slipknot tend to have less verbal prowess than the people who do not.
Hmm...

I used to be a dj so I actually know a lot about music. I am not bragging, I am just stating that I have a lot of knowledge when it comes to music. All three bands listed are neither punk nor metal. One is a nu-metal mess, and one is is a lower grade copy of the Misfits. The third....I have no idea....but since it's lumped with the other two I can only guess that it also isn't very good.Try listening to Glenn Danzig era Misfits......which is original horror themed punk. By the way...if you would have requested those songs when I dj'd in clubs I would have had a good chuckle.
Yes....White Wedding is originally by Billy Idol.

i must say i don't know her very well, so she may not have that much verbal prowess, so to speak.

I like Wednesday 13- I Walked with a Zombie, Haunt Me, and Transylvania 90210. The lyrics on the firat two are bollocks, but they are amusing. Transylvania 90210 is my favourite of his songs, it's unusually original for him...

Slipknot and Murderdolls...
They're allright, I guess, but Slipknot certainly would not appear in my favourites list. Murderdolls are ok. Not that great in my opinion but there are certainly worse bands out there. Dare I even mention Greenday and Good Charlotte?
I will take this opportunity to chant my mantra:
Cradle! Cradle! Cradle!
I realise that I now look like an arse; will be flamed; and should probably leave this thread.

I lLOVE Slipknot, and Joey is the best. But I haven't heard much of Murderdolls, but I"ve heard that they are good too. Sadly, I haven't been to one of Slipknot's concerts yet.

I despise Slipknot and the Murderdolls. I find their music dull, uninspiring, and not even shocking. When you say 'fuck' enough times, it loses any impact it ever had.
I do enjoy the female sludge band 13, but considering the pain I went through getting ahold of one of their releases I somehow doubt they're the band you're talking about. If you meant Wednesday 13, I haven't the faintest idea who that is.

A couple of years ago, I went through a phase where I was no less than obsessed with slipknot. It didn't take me long to grow out of that... although I do still wear my old slipknot hoodie. It's one of my emergency clothing items; I wear it when everything else is dirty.

It's cool to go to a Slipknot concert. Maybe it's just me, but there's more to concerts than the music itself, and I just like to be in the mosh pits.
Can you imagine a 109 lb. goth in a mosh pit? Amazingly I've never been hurt. The Twinkie is my protector.
But, Slipknot in itself, is horrible.
AWFUL!
Their songs have no point. Some may have a meaning, but, gah, they have no message.
They just throw around words.
Lemme show an example:
One of their songs has two verses that say "This is not my revolution. This is not my convolution."
A convolution is one of the ridges in the surface of the brain.
How does that make sense?
