Just clarifying: Hot Topic is not goth.
Just as Haunted said (sort of), the only gothic thing you can see in Hot Topic is an old Bauhaus Tshirt on sale because no one knows them.

hey give him a break he's only in 9th grade so I doubt that he has the same grasp on who he is that many of you have...that and I can empathize about the whole growing up in a Quaker area where there isn't much of a scene (if there is any at all), trust me it skews your view of just about everything.

You're not the defender of newbies, you're the defender of high school kids such as myself. I'm 14, going into 10th grade this year, and I can't tell you how many forums I go on where people find out my age and assume I'm going to be shallow with no grasp on the real world at all. We need someone like you, Solumnia!!! *big emo tear* Seriously though, it annoys the crap out of me when people are too quick to judge. That's why I like ya'll here, you tend to be less judgemental based on age and other such factors.

It was his reason for joining that irked me the most. Were he starting his PhD instead of 9th grade my opinion would have been no different.

Alaizabel - As a prime example of an interesting and intelligent 'younger person', do understand that this issue has very little to do with age.

I apologise if I came off a bit harsh, I'm just rather sick of so many people joining a literary forum looking for little more than fashion advice.

Now I am no person who judges quickly but....

...I don't think I'll be able to have anything in
common with someone who's only activities are going to school, eating, sleeping, and stitting for hours at the computer.

And also, if you don't think about the futur or the past, what do you think about?
