I just saw the Germs this weekend. I was expecting it to be pretty bad, but they were actually great! Pat Smear smashed his guitar and threw the pieces out into the audience. Lorna has aged great and was super cute. It was strange watching them though, knowing that the guy singing is an actor (who played Darby Crash in the upcoming movie about the Germs)...I kept wondering if he was just "acting", or if he really enjoyed the music and singing for them. He was quite good though.

I'm a HUGE Misfits fan. Other than that the only other band close to the hardcore/oi bands that I like is a two man band (drums and guitar) called SARS consisting of two of my friends who are also in the Horror Punk band I used to play in. SARS is a strange mix of straight-edge punk, ska, and thrash. On top of one 'official' album they made a live album from their drummers basement with an audience of six people. You can't go wrong with songs called 'Drugs are for Hookers' and 'I Love RoboCop'.
