It's okay, you have such an engaging wit most times I was just dissapointed. God, hit me I sound like my mother.

Today I was yelling with my sorta (now ex) boyfriend and the principal came over. But, it wasn't to tell us to stop yelling, no, it was to tell me that I wasn't aloud to wear my full length black poufy ballroom skirt to school. I actually took the time to check the rules, and there is nothing against skirts down past my ankles. grr

your principal sounds like a real asshole if it wasn't stated in the rules you should be able to wear it.

My school says no make-up and we have to wear a uniform. You can dye your hair natural colours. (Though I once did mine dark purple.)
However if you combine black hair with the complusory (sp?) black uniform everyone with dark hair looks vaguely gothy anyway.

Well...that's not really true. Just because something wasn't stated in a rulebook doesn't mean it's a good idea. For instance, it doesn't say in my student handbook that I can't ride through the halls on an elephant's back, but I'm pretty damn sure it's not a good idea, and I'd still get in trouble.

That you could have fixed. If it really bothers you, try going to your parents or guidance counselor.
If you just want to fuck with her, offer to give her a gothic makeover, since she obviously is trying steal your looks. Heh.

A gothic make over?? No no no, this will never do. You need people made out of clocks for that to actually work.

It's a silent decleration of resistance to a tyrannical system that has no fashion sense.

true, but sometimes short fragments are all we have. Still, I can empathize. The unnoficial (sp) uniform of my school is preppy pink or wanna-be artsy wear. I just waer plain black pants or skirts and assorted black shirts with a variety of coats, shoes and jewelry that conveniently stand out against tiffany and abercrombie.

These days, it's harder to stand out. That's where DiY comes to the rescue! "Why, when I was your age, we had to rip our own fishnets and make our own band t-shirts with acrylic paint. We swiped chains from the junkyard and made bondage pants out of them and we had to buy cock rings to make our spiked wristbands!"

How the fuck does a cock ring equal a spiked wristband? xD

So today, when I was walking home, some old man glared at me from his car, like he was thinking of off-roading me.

Oh the joys of looking like a nazi.

I've seen these fabled spiked cock rings. They're...scary, to say the least.

A friend of mine got out of the bus when we were on a trip and told me that in the bathrooms she saw those types of machines that you put a quarter in them and it gives you a toy, but this one gave you those spiked cock rings, and the glow in the dark. And she didn't buy me one ┬_┬

Winter, in a short skirt, without hose?! Are they bloody INSANE?????? Hell I'd intentionally get myself expelled. Plus that's way beyond behavior control, that's brainwashing! One should be allowed to wear whatever one pleases, with in reason, because high/middle school is experimentation time. Not Catholic School Barbie time!

I go to a public school for a reason.
