My older brother bought an old house awhile back that was used as a Civil War hospital during the battle of Perryville in Kentucky.
When they amputated the soldiers legs, arms, etc. they would throw them out the window and someone outside would bury all of the body parts together right under the window. Well, here recently, my brother was planting a tree right in that spot and found a bunch of bones. He just left them where they were and buried the tree elsewhere. He's kind of superstitious.

Whoa, Born Again, that's really awesome in a way. I feel sort of like a naive little kid, but I have to ask this of both you and korinna: Any evidence that the place may be haunted? I loved a good true ghost story is all. I'm really into the paranormal.

There have been a few incidents that my brother, his wife, and visitors have experienced while in the house.
A few months ago, my brother was sawing something in the foyer area and left the saw dust on the floor until the next day. When he arrived at the house the following morning, he found small foot steps in the saw dust. He has no children and no one that young has ever been in the house while he has owned it. Also, the house was locked during the night. No explanation.
Also, my brother finds Civil War era change that spontaneously appears on fire places, chests, counters, etc. Wasn't there before.
When he first purchased the house and was doing some remodeling, he hired a friend to do some electrical work. It was at night and the man was alone in the house. I don't know much about electrical wiring and the such, but he said something about a switch that turns on the electricity (not a light switch) , well it was off when he started. Anyways, he was fixing the wiring when he noticed the switch was flipped on. This could have electrocuted him. When he seen this, he got up and left, leaving his tools and all. To this day, he refuses to say exactly what happened.
There have been a few other occurrences, but its still not enough evidence for me to be convinced that the house is haunted, but would I stay the night there to find out? Hell no.

Me too. I don't come across things like that very often, but when I do, I know it. I'm overly sensitive to everything, really. People's emotions, thoughts, plans... And I have this weird way of knowing when someone enters the room, even if I don't see or hear them do it. I just... I don't know, it's like I just sense their presence.

That's so awesome. I'd so stay the night, just for the heck of it. And also to see what might happen. It sounds like fun.

Aren't there laws in your country about heritage artefacts? I mean... it's an archaeological or historical heritage site; over here it's a crime to not report a find of human remains, regardless of whether they are recent or not...

Wow...Just reading what you put made my head hurt.
It's really cool that you got to hold a rib bone. I've never held something like that.

I'd prefer to see a rib than a skull. I've seen skulls everywhere.
It's really cool that your step father has something that old!
